carts for the golfers at least? This was the super skid place, 29, $39 on weekends, but you don't go anywhere near the clubhouse once you leave. You prolly pass the clubhouse at the turn?

oh yes, sorry. they have carts for the golfers, i just meant food carts. carts are cheap, too. i'm always walking anyway, because i feel like i get into a better rhythm walking, unless i hurry too much and don't calm down before my next shot, and because i'm trying to take advantage of being at 9000 feet and get into a little better shape before i go home.
basically everything is cheap because it costs so much to join. and yes, you do pass the entire club at the turn. and also between 13 and 14.
A gentlemen treats said cart girl with respect and tips according to service , not looks .
A gentlemen will turn to his buddies in the locker room ( tgr ) and may comment that the cart girl was the ugliest he has ever seen .
A gentlemen does not repeatedly brag that he plays golf at a " super exclusive club " .
" You sir are no gentlemen " - Judge Smails .
um, the only reason i said super exclusive club is to highlight the fact that they don't have cart service. it's not a brag. since i haven't broken 100 and have been in here asking tons of stupid questions, it's highly unlikely i'd be bragging. i wouldn't be there if my inlaws didn't have a friend. pretty sure i made that clear more than once.
i'm never been one to talk much differently with the guys than i did the girls, so there's that.
i bet you've never given a better tip to a pretty girl.
why yes, they do indeed, in spades+++...

could be around sat after the boil, binged the fuck out of my wrist so could caddy, might be the first ever caddy at the Reserve! :D
I made it out for a round on Tuesday for the first time this year. It was a great day, now I'm set on improving my game and getting out a lot more. Now on to an equipment question:
I'm pretty short (5'8") and have long arms (~29.5" wrist to floor). I've been playing with a set of cheap clubs that I picked up a few years ago, and have gotten to where I can hit them pretty well (choking up 1-2"). They're too long and/or have lies that are too upright for me, and I'm starting to feel like I'm compromising a good swing to use the clubs. The online tools and charts that I've seen put me anywhere from 1.75" shorter and 1* flatter lie to standard length and 4* flatter. I'm ready to make a change to avoid creating bad habits.
My options:
1. Shorten (myself or shop) and adjust lie (shop) of my current clubs. I would most likely be sinking $150 into a $200 set of clubs.
2. Get a new set of clubs built or adjusted for me. I'm ok with spending the money on a set that will last me a while.
3. ?????
Advice on fittings, brands, custom clubs, gimmicks, etc?
just out of curiosity, how many of you have made a hole in one?
You can't bend cast clubs too much. Most times they can come cast with the correct lie from the manufacturer, so it is a crap shoot unless they are forged.
As for your fitting, static fittings do NOTHING, except help with some generalities. Getting fit with a lie board and your swing is better, but in no way perfect.
It comes down to the personal fitter, watching you hit some balls, evaluating your current swing, and where you re going with your swing and game.
Buy new clubs IMO, get fit for them.
One, an amazing swing with a 8 iron, one hop and in the hole. I am so happy it was not a shitty swing too, as everyone makes bad swings on the course at times.
While practicing one day on the course, I hit about 3 shots at this cool par three and holed that too...pretty sweet.
I know a guy who has been playing very seriously for 20 years, never had one. Then one day at one of his favorite courses, he made 2, in the same round.
O so close many times but it never dropped.
Was playing a local par 3 last summer and pured a nice wedge. Ball landed and started the backtrack to the hole. I remember just praying that it wouldn't fall. Everyone wants their first hole-in-one to be on a really nice track.
Ok, not everyone, but I do. Slicing a yipped 56 degree into the pitch-and-putt dogleg straight 89 yard #4 isn't my idea of fulfillment.
there's no shame in a hole in one at Greenlake CC!!! Did any rollerbladers stop to clap?
IIRC, #4 is the "long" one too!
nope, that's #5. #4 has the bench by the fence and the mysterious piles of sand to the left and long of the green... slightly downhill, dogleg - straight is a good term i guess...
Never.
Closest I've came was 12 years ago. I was playing a Mark McCumber course in FL called The Course at Westland. They fucking tore it up to build homes instead of building homes around it. I was pissed because that and The Champions Club at Julington Creek was where I learned how to play golf. When my grampa didn;t have the flow for me to golf at Champions (which was 80% of the time), he drove me to Westland.
I digress...
Was playing the par three second at like 6:30 in the morning by myself. Was feeling pretty good about myself coming off a par on the first so I pull an 8 to to shoot into a green playing about 160. Ended up skulling the shit out of it and it literally hit about 15 yeards in front of the tee box then started rolling up. Took my eyes off it since I figured I'd be playing a 60 yard second or something. Walked up to the apron and couldn't find it, then saw the trail it left in the dew. Look up and the ball is sitting three muthafuckin' inches from the cup with the dew trail making a bee line for the pin.
I still love telling that story A) because I was alone and it was a beautiful morning and B) it's still the closest I've ever come to making a HIO.
An alby would be cool, too.
