My buddy was downsizing his grow and gave me one of his outdoor plants in early July. I’ve never grown before and I just repotted and plopped the plant in my backyard. Built a little deer fence perimeter, cuz those fuckers are like NYC rats here - and they love weed.
Been fun to watch the daily progress. I’m just watering it and pulling any weird bugs off that aren’t the daddy long legs that seem to like stalking the plant.
He had it listed as Pakistan Valley, a nice Indica.

I noticed a change in the signage at the border going into Quebec from VT. It used to say something about not bringing in weed because it was illegal. And that was new signs after Canadian legalization. Now it simply says that you must declare all cannabis products. Is it now legal for individuals to bring it in??? Are they going to make you throw it; n the trash? Or will you get arrested? I am seriously only asking an academic question. Thinking I may have drowned the roots on these two. Which would be weird since they are planted in the same amount of the same soil, and got the same type/amount of feed as the girl at the top. Oh well

thc is fat and alcohol soluble, emulsification into final beverage will be important so choose which carrier you want for final best resultsQuote:

store bought drinks rely on nano emulsification processing so the thc is basically water soluble, not something thats easy to recreate at home, it also can create a "fast acting" edible, the thc bonds to sugar and is absorbed sublingually rather than processed with fat through gut, feels a lot more like a flower high than edible
personally i would go alcohol based, everclear wash, evap down a bunch, then add mct/lecithin/honey depending on desired use
careful with decarb, toasting the flower can greatly impact final flavor, low and slow is your friend here, winterizing after evap can also help with final consistency and emulsification by removing waxes/lipids
I made green dragon with everclear and like to add it too seltzer. A few drops at the bottom of the glass and then pour in seltzer.

Fill a quart mason jar with herb and everclear, put jar in a pot with water. When everclear boils it’s done. If my weed is fresh I decarb if older I don’t. I usually use trim, I love green dragon
