NC Coast. Green umbrella guy is the closest anybody’s been all week and he’s downwind and never there.

Yep, just down the beach from us.

That little inlet can get pretty ripping with the tide, although it used to be more so when the sandbar was still (prominently) there. When the wife took her new Cavalier King Charles for a walk down the beach the little fearless thing launched itself into the current and made it to the other side. Then she realized she had to get back but when she jumped back in the tide started taking her out faster than she could paddle.
Which meant I had to go in and get her. In November. Fully clothed.
@powdrhound
Are you riding the palmer chair or doing maintenance on it?
Which Axis you got? Did you get it from NW Inboards out there? I know Darren, the guy who owns that place.
This is my T22

Ooof, that sucks. Sand and salt in a cut on your foot is never a good time; probably small cluster oysters, those things are like razor blades.
No HOA there, that's City of HHI on the other side of the dunes; I'm sure they'll be more than helpful, lol. Once you walk past RTJ golf course and hit the beach bar, that's the end of PD.
^ weak. just like a PD'er
^ yeah, it is nice, but christ they get hammerd. Like every storm ever made just zeros in on it. That is when they arn't in NO or houston.
Lol. This Actually got me thinking about when they planted that palm tree. I know it Was when they added the rocks and the razor sharp shit that cut your foot; we are just arguing about when that was here now. Think I’ll pour a drink and argue some more with the lady of the house.
Since today is all about the water:

The red layer was deposited about 30 million years ago, when sabertooth cats, pigs the size of bison and bear-dogs were the area's apex predators
I’d like to hear more about these bear-dogs.

Beardogs, or Amphicyonids, are a diverse group of mammals who emerged on the tree of life during the mid-Eocene period roughly 40 million years ago. By 20 million years ago, they had spread to most northern continents, grown in stature, and become a bone-crushing apex predator. Their signature bulky jaw and flat teeth (for crushing) are a common sight for paleontologists excavating fossils from the Eocene and Miocene, but their origins remained murky.
