Wrong thread I know but buy an awd Sienna. Once the pain of having you're testicles removed passes you'll be overjoyed. Drives like a car, good milesge, bomber in snow. Can pull 3500. Power double sided doors are a godsend w infants and little ones.

AWD Sienna is the only way.
Good question. I see way more 3-series wagons than I do Allroads, apparently the market doesn't love them either. I am not a fan of the cladding and the sloped rear hatch kinda limits utility. Also, I wonder how many prospective Allroad buyers went and looked at a Golf Wagon/Alltrack and couldn't justify the extra expense.Quote:
why not the same love for an Audi Allroad as the X328I?
Here's what I mean by the sloped hatch:

Am in Italy currently, and the Opel Insignia wagon is really nice looking in person.
Mrs. C. is not impressed and wonders why I'm looking at a future Buick wagon.
For reference, we lugged our chicco nextfit around with us when test driving vehicles a while back. It fit nicely in the allroad, but wouldn't go in a Q5 (if an average sized adult wants to sit in the front passenger seat). I was kind of shocked by the difference...
^^^^^While I love the interior of that car and the engine options, from the side it isn't real pretty to me. But if I had an extra $120k sitting around, I still would likely buy one.
Time to let go of the 9-5 Saab wagon. As mentioned earlier, going to same dealership that also handles Volvos - replaced last Saab with one. Looking at a CPO 2015 V6 AWD 5 cyl, or 2016 XC60 AWD 5 cyl. Everything newer is 4 cyl. Wondering about the light interior on XC60 - anyone have any issues with light leather? Had beige leather on older Saab with no issue, but this leather on the Volvo is lighter!
Funny I asked my Saab guy when to give up. His response was never. Lol. She's been costing me a bit lately but he's been really good on charges and she's still strong

Our Jetta & Passat wagons, both TDI, were pretty hassle free, if you need another input. We sold the Passat at 170k and someone is driving it around WA getting tickets that get sent to us every month or so because my wife thought it was fine to let the plates go with the sale. :nonono2:
I just picked up an Allroad after needing a second wagon for family hauling duty, and cross shopped every damn wagon out there (I even had a thread about it!). I looked at the VW and size-wise it’s not even comparable. Neither are huge compared to my wives cavernous XC70 but they’re giants compared to the Alltrek - and I like the Alltrek.
I’ve been very happy with it so far - and I’m a BMW guy.
Wife's XC70 has the light interior and I love it. It makes it all the more Swedish feeling and it's really bright in there - not like being in a dark cave. It's been dog and kid proof too. Cleans easy and doesn't show dirt like a sand-color BMW leather interior does I can assure you of that.
Volvo leather, who knew?
school me on the 2013 Audi Allroad..... they are starting to come up at decent prices in my area. What should i be looking for? Its probably between that and a new Golf Sportwagen AWD, thoughts??
My wife’s Volvo has tan interior and it’s definitely light and bright inside but wear and tear shows more easily. My 2008 V50 interior (black) looks much less worn than her 2012 XC90 interior (tan) despite fewer years and fewer miles.

Been very pleased with mine. It's even taken over as my daily driver - even when I'm not on kid/dog duty. Sips gas and has plenty of torque with a nice responsive chassis. Took it on a road trip the other weekend and I was startled to shit when the alarm went off that I was going over 90 mph. Felt like I was humming along at 75. By the way, you can adjust when that silly speed limit alarm goes off. Mine is now calibrated to 101.
Caspian Blue I believe? ;)
That's my wife's combo (over the bright interior) - it's seriously good looking and looks sharp as fuck all cleaned up.
Congrats.

My new whip. 99 e320 4matic. A couple ticks over 200k. It came with every receipt since it was purchased new. That is a rocket box that LeroyJenkins gave me years ago. I know its high mileage but my ace in the hole is my good friend/coworker who is factory trained Mercrdes mechanic. Ordered $300 in parts between rockauto and rmeuropean and have a saturday in his garage to bring it to full creampuff status. Has a bit of finder and bumper rash that my lowrider club buddies from work are going to straighten out. I think the wheels and snowtires from my TDi will fit it.
Not bad for $1000 off of ksl.com...
I like the stock w210 rims. Utilitarian. Good car.
