We were hoping for a A Place To Call Home + Rain Shadow hybrid, but was more of a fly-blown Dynasty + Yellowstone; we enjoyed it.

Does anyone watch SILO? Season 2 is now available
Happy to start season 2, but the first episode was mysteriously aimless.
My wife insisted we get Apple TV+. I just watched seasons 1-4 of Slow Horses. Can't wait for season 5. Gary Oldman rocks. He plays an interesting character given his performance in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
Second season of Lioness is fantastic.
In spite of Nicole Kidman.
Day of the Jackal is very entertaining, with a great soundtrack to boot.

Check out ‘Perfect Couple’ w/Kidman [emoji6]
Just binged 1st seasons of ‘Bad Sisters’ and ‘Silo’. Both excellent, now week by week messes with the continuity of binge watching.

We started watching NCIS: Origins. It's FAR better than the original source material or any of the spin-offs.
I'm a total Taylor Sheridan fan-boi: check out Landman (Paramount+).
I'm fascinated by how well it works with simple plot lines, stark scenery and, with just a few exceptions, very limited big screen explosions. This is the best Billy Bob I've seen in a long time.
kinda shocked that this forum has virtually no discussion of Severance. Just finished S2. Crazy weird show, but incredibly compelling.
All the spin offs have been trash. The OG show has been on far too long.Quote:

The thing that is awful about the Origins series is Harmons narration. It would be so much better if that wasn’t part of it. If they just showed the show without that it would be much better.
MobLand is very good and just keeps getting better with each episode
Highly recommend.
Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirran. The Fontaines D.C Starburster intro song is fantastic.

Just watched the first few episodes of Murderbot on Apple TV+ and I'll be watching the rest of them. Not as "funny" as I thought it would be, the humour is more subtle than expected. But so far I'm into it.
Re Severance, my wife and I were pretty into the [emoji637]st season. [emoji638]nd season came and I fell asleep during each of the first [emoji639] episodes for it. It just didn’t hold my attention like the [emoji637]st season.
Agreed. Mark Harmon is as interesting as a 2x4, and 1/2 as talented.Quote:

Origins has no business being as good as it is.
I watched a few episodes and just as I start to think that an episode was pretty good, harmon’s voice butts in and wrecks the mood lol. I almost forget it’s in the same universe. It would be much better with out trying to tie it in
Mobland is da shit; gets better with every episode. Ritchie needs to just give up movies and stick with tv series.Murderbot is annoying: the presentation format (20 minute teases) highlights the weak shallowness of the books(?? novellas? short stories?) and stomps on their strengths. And Skarsgard is horribly mis-cast.WHY DO THEY SHOW HIS FACE?!?!?!?!
Alien: Earth on FX/Hulu starting in August looks rad. Plus I fucking love Sydney Chandler.
