Kitty likes balancing on the bosu. She got pretty off kilter at one point but remained chill

That’s a good looking cat - with a bit of a resting don’t touch me face :)
Did the big cat guided tour at San Diego zoo.

Learned that Jaguars are one of the most dangerous animal to keep in zoos. They just kill things if they escape. The trainer said that the staff talks about what animal would be worst to accidentally make contact with, Jaguars hands down. They are called “skull crushers” and go straight to the back of your head and neck and crush. Pretty cool.

She totally has the grumpy cat face but she’s actually quite nice.
Not the type of cat that will sit on your lap, but she will gravitate towards whichever room you are in and chill there.
Her hair gets matted easily so she has always been groomed so she is pretty amenable to brushing and such
It helps that she is also tiny- 7lbs at her last appt.
She did tear apart my down vest last time I put her in the carrier at the vet’s office though. I was blowing a cloud of feathers behind me on our way out.

My next reincarnation better be as one of KQ's strays...
^ Yeah, best to think that through.
The life of a non-neutered barn cat is a tough one. Usually not a particularly long one either. Depending on your outlook, neutering might be a blessing.
Certainly would have saved me from some dumb-assery.
Oh you guys! So funny. LOL!
Rome there is getting long in the tooth. 14 now. He likes to spent most of the day in his heated house. He's got a bad hip and I think the heated pad feels good. Pampered little bugger even wants me to feed him his wet food in his house.

From my perspective it went well. Not sure what she would say.
When I picked her up the first thing I noticed was that her weight was perfect, so they followed my diet instructions. She has never been an affectionate cat, and never sat in my lap or slept with me. But for the first several days she would actually sit in my lap, and she started sleeping with me. She has now stopped sitting in my lap, but she has continued to sleep with me, which I am enjoying.

She sounds a bit like our guy Timmy.
We've had him for about 2.5 years, since he was a kitten. Very much a loner and definitely not a lap cat. When he was a kitten he would sleep on our bed but sadly that stopped within a few months. He almost always wants to sleep and be alone. During playtime he's social and 'normal' but that's it. That said I am lucky to say that I am clearly his favorite person. (not gloating, this will be relevant in a minute)
I think part of it is some sort of territorial issue with our senior lady cat Toki. She has hip dysplasia, is deaf and partially blind so can't go up or down stairs. He seems to be more comfortable in the places she can't access. Feeding time is also weird, he won't eat until Toki has eaten and left. The irony is, he really wants to spend time with her but he's young and rough and she's too old and fragile for any physical alterations. So he might playfully paw at her, she gets angry and storms off, and he makes these really sad crying sounds.
In the fall I went for a 2.5 week solo trip. When I returned he was super affectionate and for the next three nights he slept in our bed. Sadly that stopped. But a week later out of the blue he jumped up onto my lap and stayed for a few minutes. Since then he'll come by a few times an evening and sit on me. I think it's safe to say progress is being made and being away for awhile was the trigger.
All that said I really feel horrible for my wife. She adopted him and he was supposed to be 'her' cat. He has never sat on her and I know it's destroying her inside whenever she see's him on me.
File this under inter family cat dynamics I suppose.

Well shit, been 5 days since the cat that lives in my garage (Marbles) has been sighted. Got her in 2007 when she was about 1.5 yrs so if she has moved on to kitty heaven she was 17+. Pretty good for an outdoor cat in a neighborhood full of Eagles, Hawks, Owls, Foxes and Yotes. The last year her hearing has declined to the point she was easy to sneak up on. She had a good life.
Neighbors are in the Keys so it is possible she managed to get locked in their garage again except that I should hear her yowling like hell.
After they return and I face reality it will be time to look for a new garage buddy.
