Those are the days that the other side of the divide is usually getting that lovely NW flow hammering. That big, low cloud over the divide visible from town, and windy down in the foothills/Front Range = checking the snow report for tomorrow...

Steamboat Wednesday...see you there.
Well, it was a far cry from SS, but had fun @ Vail today..found a fair amount of untouched knee deep in the woods. Just came over the Pass....puking up there
Winter is on!
I snagged a plain ticket the other day, see what happens!
(goes with my travel theory relating to snow fall levels)
some wind on the valley floor today but not a ton
Drove out to Steamboat today from Summit County. 3+ feet in the last 2 days and it's been snowing all day and continuing now at 10:30pm. Should be another 12" by tomorrow morning. Stoked to be here. First powder day post ACL surgery. I'll ski as long as I can.
No wind just snow
Nice surprise this am, 11 reported at Vail. Wonder how much of that was overnight?

normally get one of these a year where Vail gets a good # but very little at the Beav. Just a skiff to an inch on the valley floor. Go get it boys and girls.
Have fun out there!!

Steamboat up to 52" in the last 60 hours...that is silly.
Anyone looking at the storm for Saturday-Sunday yet? It's all I can put on my radar because of work right now.
^^^ already looking for a babysitter
Some potential for sure but looks like Steamboat will get the bulk of the storm once again.

I keep hoping, but Loveland continues to only squeeze and inch or two out of these storms. Maybe tonight into tomorrow will be kinder to the Love. I'll be up there tomorrow to get after whatever I may find.
breck ski'd amazing today, gotta love dat wind-loading. 7" was 12"+ in most spots.
anyone ski Vail today? thinking of heading over there tomorrow
I didn't get up this morning, virtually no snow on hte valley floor and was 33 degrees at 8am so I just went to work. Tomorrow is a different story.
CAIC has a pretty bullish forecast of 5-10" for tonight.
