If the guy's law practice is anything like his WX knowledge then he must be defeating Latham Watkins in ERISA controversies....

...wait for it...
With prejudice.
Skiing was better than expected, everyone seemed surprized. OG was flat with about 2" of fresh and very edgeable, 5 non stop runs on HG and I felt good for my 1st lift serve day. Super socked in with vis around 20' at the top. This was good as 85% of the "crowd" passed on OG for Jester, overheard as I dropped in for #4 "I bet it's icy chunks and bumps, lets do another warm up run".
Keeping an eye on that Turkey snow for sure.
Riding.........
Ya'll can thank me on T-Day for heading south... :cussing:
Any mags want to meet up at k-town this weekend?
:yourock:
Not for skiing. Was in Odells yesterday and very little snow in Huntington. What is there would be good base but there was a light rain at pinkham when I left at 315 today.
Was left of left gully today. Great base in there and still goes but needs a refresher and consolidation. Shark fins here and there be vigilant.
Good couple of days on George to start the winter alpine season. Skis stayed in the car. But found some fat blue ice.
What is the weather going to do?
Edit - liking the sound of 3 feet for turkey day! The possible storm just made the national news. Bring it!
Let the feasting begin!

"A cold front will move offshore this morning allowing a strong northwesterly flow to set up in its wake. This flow will allow for continued summit fog and occasional upslope snow showers over the course of the day. The strong northwesterly flow will also allow temperatures to fall through the day, making for even lower wind chill values, as they plunge to well below zero. Overnight, a secondary cold front will move through bringing continued snow showers that may become heavy at times by sunrise on Sunday. New snowfall today will be a trace to two inches with an additional 1 to 3 inches falling overnight into Sunday. Additionally, this front will bring a reinforcing shot of arctic air. This will mean that today's daily record low of 13 below zero and Sunday's daily record low of 13 below will likely be met or surpassed. Winds will also be increasing even higher on Sunday plunging wind chill values even lower. As a result, a Wind Chill Advisory will go into effect from noon until sunset today when a Wind Chill Warning will replace it for the overnight hours into Sunday. This means frostbite can occur in as little as 5 minutes on exposed surfaces. With the expected conditions tomorrow, any search and rescue efforts that may arise will be slow going and likely arranged from below as it will be too dangerous for Observatory staff to assist from above."

That Kelly report was a bit off, just saying[winky].

Today we get warm front snow, tonight we get cold front snow. A net gain of 4"+ for the summit by the first lift ride tomorrow, Opening Day!.
Morning Report
Jay Cloud also decided to show us some love this morning, leaving us with 2” of natural at the summit and 1” at mid-mountain elevations.

looks like George picked up another coupla inches of snow through the day today with a solid snow forecast for the next 5 days or so. we may just beat the average, and if we do, we could be skiing more than just left gully by later next week. fingers crossed!

10.4` 35-40 mph winds and copious amounts of blowing snow. -2` summit. I would say approx 2 11/16" of new snow overnight with the crystalline structure completely broke down by 7AM.
