Looks like it’s emergency work in the tunnel. 2 hours since I passed by and it’s still a huge backup down to Georgetown. People escaping the city pwned.

I70 at MM177 is closed in both direction for an extended closure due to a motor vehicle accident.

Update: sounds like it won’t be extended, but gonna need a recovery closure after this one.
Left this morning from the Boulder area around 9am and hit some fairly shitty traffic on 285 between Aspen Park and Bailey. It probably delayed me about 20-30 minutes. But after going through the light in Fairplay where everyone turns to go to Breck, it was mostly smooth sailing all the way to Crested Butte. Took about 4.5 hours, usually takes me just over 4. Cottonwood was surprisingly empty, I thought there would be way more RVs.
Just like memorial day earlier this summer. Vacation in the front range. Quiet here and the weed is cheap.
1:30pm, Saturday and traffic @ Floyd Hill is still fuct.

Do you live on Floyd Hill? One of my best friends aka Crazy Terry had an A Frame for years from where that pic was taken before moving to Salida.
