wraparound NW flow rarely ever does much for our area, that flow is normally not strong enough to provide good orographics. This is a front range storm again, an inch or 2 would be my guess for west of the divide. Better than nothing.
not really. there are enough aspects up there that when one aspect gets wind, others get loaded. plus, refills days after a storm are good too. it's also the best access to Peak 6, which skied very well all of last season.Quote:

If we're going by trends, then the next real powder day should be around the end of March.
I thought everyone had stopped hoping for a massive pattern shift this winter? It just isn't going to happen this year. We'll have some snowy periods and it'll be colder at times but this winter is what this winter is at this point. Go out and ski or ride and enjoy being outside but I wouldn't expect it to get crazy good all of a sudden.
This storm should be good for the front range and San Juans but nothing much at all for our area. High pressure next week will be a good time to soak up some sun.
