The kid owned it.
Haha, awesome! save the photos for his wedding!
Like.
that is amazing and awesome. i've shown my son several of owen's skiing pics and showed him this this morning. some members of his extended family would be mortified by the thought of him in a dress much less on stage. i can't wait to get him into drama. i started reading him shakespeare (all time fave) when he was 1. we started a comedy of errors a little bit ago. i explain everything to him but sometimes i simplify. for instance, comedy of errors is "jokes about mistakes." if i stop he yells "read!" he's going to love acting.
congrats to owen and owen's folks!
He and a few of his friends got dressed up for school today. Slacks, nice shoes, button up shirt and a tie. Hell I don't even own a tie...
mine has already had two suits and ties by four thanks to a friend. he sometimes out of nowhere says he wants us to dress in our "elegant clothes." i'm like, uh, sure, buddy. i know i have a tie someplace.
range and diversity is good in everything.
Quick training day today (500ft vert, 65lbs between the two of them). Back on snow tomorrow. Kids are the best training tool I've ever purchased... as soon as I get strong enough to haul them around, they get get bigger. Thelonious is currently packing on the "pre-walk" pounds.
Am's Quote of the day: (on my way out the door to climb hood) "Papa, don't forget to wax your poles!"
edit: YTF does the forum rotate my photos half the time? And how do I fix them?
FKNA! Go Daddy go!
Sweet rearview mirror on the pack strap...!
Those baby packs come stock with a mirror. Very useful.
Man, I have a lot to learn... first kid coming up in August.
Awesome!
Norsebaby!
Bike trailer question for a 4 year old. We've had a burley for 3 years, riding our girl around the mountains. Should we be looking at a pedal trailer for the next step after a burley, for long rides?
Also, she's going to make the transition from Strider to pedal bike soon. Any advice on how to do that smoothly? No training wheels ever, right?
last day at the bird yesterday and the little man had a blast
https://youtu.be/oeNVsCCXKxc
My kid was a strider boss....no training wheels but used a tag along bike behind ours to let him get the hang of pedaling then put him on his pedal bike and off he went!
We went strider to pedal no issues. He had a trike and used them at school as well. Add in ski legs and he had the pedal thing down. No training wheels. Just an hour in a empty parking lot with mom and gummi Bears.
Bottom line, teaching them to pedal is part of the equation, lots of ways to do it. I don't feel like using training wheels for a little bit was any kind of setback for us, but like I said, we didn't do the trike thing or tag along.
Well, within 15 mins she too was off and rolling on her new bike. Amazed how quickly she got the balance!
I've got some FREE kid's MadRock climbing shoes up for grabs in the kid thread in Gear Swap. US 1 Euro 32.
