My roommate was told to show up to work the terrace bar at high camp tomorrow if the wind doesn't put it on hold, whatever that means for sibo and the other chairs up there.

5 inches of snow in the past 5 hours at blue canyon and still falling hard.

Been snowing at close to inch/hour here at Alpine since I got here around 6-6:30. House is cold, but getting warmer little bit at a time. Need to get firewood delivered ASAP.
Might have to go for a hike at Alpine tomorrow afternoon. Sunday may be a better bet.

it’s tough to be overly bullish on snow totals, but with the cold air advection, decent upslope, and crazy instabililty aloft, 4-5 feet is a real possibility for Tahoe resorts.
Soooo,....is global warming over?
Soooo...are you serious?
So... just saw Mammoth's prices. Holy fuck. Our family of 5 would need to spend $270.
What deals are available?
i'm going skiing today.
8 hour drive from SF to Tahoe. Yesssss! Sleeping 3 hours and reaping rewards
/\/\/\:eek: Holy Crap! I'm glad jahroy and I were able to escape at lunchtime. We made it about 4.5, but that included a sit-down dinner and a gas stop.
The building across from me has one of those metal roofs. It slid like a slab avy a few minutes ago. Left at least a one foot crown. It has been snowing all night, although at this very minute it has let ups just a little. It definitely looks like winter outside.
I recall it as October 23rd.
After a new Left ACL on Nov.12, and then the Right one on March 3, KW has their earliest opening day! I was not going to miss it. I may not have been real strong yet, but it was the first ski day in 11 years without knee braces.
thanks a ton for that ride sinecure... it did go pretty smoothly.
just took this on the drive in... ready to line up for searchlight!

^^^ All that I remember is it was the year I learned to ski again. And I had several powder days before Halloween. Good year it was.
Beautiful and sunny this morning in Santa Cruz. If this is just a break between the bands of downpours, I love it. Gonna go for a walk with the wife to score points. Then two days of work, then powder.
The view from my deck this morning. Now there is two reasons for morning wood.
