Anyone have any experience with the Madshus Panoramas?

I skied the Karhu Guides years ago, seemed the pattern worked pretty well. I looked at the Rossi’s and the Voile’s this time, but I won’t lie price played a role in the decision. FTR these are getting pins and will be skied with leather three pin boots.

I have those, mounted up with 3pin/cables and using Alpina AK boots. Fantastic tour skis well suited for turns, good float versus glide for my 215lb frame. I have the 192 while the GF rocks an identical setup on 182s.

I have a set of well used Karhu Guides and the later Madshus Aniom.

They are all excellent skis.

Rosie Brennan (USA) took a silver in Yurp this morning, Jessie and Rosie are 1 and 3 on the World Cup. US women killing it!

They ski fantastic both up and down. I run them with NNN BC and Alpina Alaska's.
They are often tight on supply since COVID but you can find them around. Last pair I bought shipped from Europe from Skate Pro. Good transaction, I have nothing to do with them

Forgot to add the Panorama is based on the old 10th mtn that was very popular ski Karhu designed back in the day.

I have the panorama too, great ski. Got a pair for my wife too at telemark pyneeres, cheapest I could find. Fischer s bounds are nice too until then delaminated. The alpinia (widest one they make) suck.

I ski the Madshus Epoch which was renamed the Panorama M68. At their heart these are all the same as the Epoch & Annum which were the same as the Karhu line (10th mtn and Guide).

I had a NNNBC system but the boots gave me ridiculous heel blisters. I have since dropped a TTS system on them and they are great for touring and some turns.

Pulled the trigger on the Panoramas. I haven’t had a fishscale rig in a few years. Went pretty short with the 172’s. Might regret being undergunned a little, but I’m hoping maneuvering will be easier. Last pair of skis I bought are too long, so it’s a makeup purchase.

Edited to add: Had an old pair of G3 Targas laying around, but I opted for a new pair of Voile 3 pins with the detachable cables. Never skied that binding over the years, so here goes....

Ok this is helpful thanks. What about for skis with no stickers. So many used nordic skis for sale that I can't find any info about on the internet. Older models etc and the ski companies don't always have the info available for older skis.

I'm 170-175ish pounds and want some classic skis. No idea what length etc to get.

The only way to tell that I know is to put the skis on a floor, put a strip of paper under the skis at the place where mid boot would be and have someone .....

Ski flex is only one component of the slide v kick of a ski. Varied snow types, changing slope and changing your technique to adapt all play a roll. There is no Perfect Ski. Buy cheap and get on the snow.
