The horizontal line threw me. No judgment either way. Nipple chafing and need to support moobs are both real things.

Absolutely agree, great shot. I need to get down to VA for some riding this summer/fall.

Just starting to get into the alpine around the RFV.
Lots of hype around the opening of Hard Money in Black Hawk...downhill only:

Will never get tired of this view.
Feeling pretty damn lucky this trail is five miles from our house.

Whew, we got some much needed precip! Good to feel a bit of traction.

Rode the Inside North Fork road on the West side of Glacier Park over the weekend. Gravel was a mixture of packed dirt to large, loose rock. Ran into 4 bikers and 3 hikers total in the 50 miles. The views were nice.

I rode at least 2 miles with bearspray in hand as 2 of the bikers saw a bear in this area and there was quite a bit of scat.

Camped on the beach across the river last summer on a 3 day raft trip and kept seeing cars that looked dangerously close to the edge up above us. It's much more clear why from this side. Not sure how long they can keep using this section.

All in all, a very cool ride.
I really need to ride that section. A two nighter of inside road, to Polebridge and up to Red Meadow would be fun.
Saturday was decent in Missoula, but still wet from rain. So I only rode a chair near the river with a beer in hand. Sunday and last night were close to record rainfall. Snow looks to be down to the bottom of Snowbowl.
From my riding/Strava snooping: Lower half of Buttermilk, Smuggler/BTS/Lower Lollipop/New Iowa Shaft/Hummingbird are all rideable, along with Sky Mountain/Rim/7 Star
I put myself through a bit of a bootcamp on Independence Pass this weekend:
Saturday I towed my boys for the first half of the Ride for the Pass; we went 5mi up with 1500' of climbing. Brutal, being on one of our townies - a early 90s women's 16" Trek frame and towing 100lbs. But fun to take the boys to a "race."

Sunday I decided to revisit and ride the Pass from our house - 23mi and 4300' of gain, for my first road ride of the year. Legs were not happy, but I suffered to a respectable 2hrs from town to the top.

Late.
Nice to get out of town once in a while

Technically, I guess it’s sub alpine. Most of the Snowmass trails up to 9k are clear. I’ve been climbing Powerline and descending Valhalla.

Sky Mountain is riding better, but they don’t allow dogs. So I mostly ride elsewhere.

Rode/cleaned up the road bike today.
That’s a classic! Love the raw titanium on the rear triangle

Made it to the Black Hills. On part of the Dakota 50. If you look closely you can see part of a huge blowdown from last fall. Thanks locals for valiant chainsaw work.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...edf544234d.jpg

^been through that area twice and barely did any riding. I need to change that the next time I roll through there.
Higher elevation stuff is starting to get fun around here. Exploring a new area has been a ton of fun, not sure I've ever rode this much this early in the season.
