I've been working on the B&W stuff, mainly willing family members. It's much trickier than I would have thought.

The tones on the first one are really good. It’s so hard to find the right balance to get good contrast in B&W. It’s some sort of dark art I think.

Fall in Vermont (ranking this year as a 3 on a 1-10 scale. A very wet year, no frost, and then HOT dry conditions in October made for very dull colors and fast leaf drop):

This was so close to being perfect but the light never quite got up into those clouds. Still love the way the Superstitions are glowing here, though.
