Put this shit in Political Asshattery please.
Gotta commend her for actively trying to make a difference. She’s got bigger balls on and off the mountains than most here, myself included.
Im with ugly money. she had a strong campaign given the circumstances and had a good debate against John Curtis. I hope she continues to be involved in Utah politics.

Indeed. When a state gets called with 0% of the votes counted you know the chances are slim. Statewide in UT it's not about a blue victory, we're at least 50 years away from that. It's about adding a brick to the foundation. Which she did. I don't like many things about her, but I have nothing but respect for what she did. I strongly doubt she's enough of a cynic or a grifter to haven gotten in the race for any reason other than her convictions. Knowing the odds, that's worth something.
I was in the kitchen getting a beer and glanced over at an angle to the TV in the living room and did a double take of the UT ticker. I thought it said "6 biblical votes" and then realized biblical was electoral. Made me chuckle inside.
She comes in regurally to my shop to get her skis tuned. Solid skier. I fixed one of the longest core shots I have ever seen on her skis the year she skied the ribbon. What ever people say about her I just know that she absolutely kills it on the mountain with her skiing.

I don’t know anything about Gleich, or how she ran her campaign, but only one other Dem senate candidate had a worse vote share relative to Harris’s vote share in their state.

My guess is that I’d agree with a lot of what she stands for, but she’s out of step relative the median Utah voter.
If you could trade her performance for Dan Osborn’s, it would have her at 52% in the current vote count. (A big if admittedly.)
There was no substance other than “I climb mountains, so I’ll do the same for you about x issues.”
That’s it.
