Head to the lost and found and see if they had any gloves- or off to the ski shop and purchase a new pair, or just suffer through the day? I have a pair of mittens for colder days and then gloves. I lost one of a pair of the gloves over the weekend. It was maybe 10 minutes before I realized I did not have one of them. Traced my steps 3 times looking for the missing one. No where to be found on the ground from the vehicle to the lodge, or at first I thought it was also not in the lodge. I went to security and they said here is a box of last years gloves found. One pair he offered up to me and said they would never find the original owner after 9 months or more since end of last season...

I checked the lost and found box and there wasn't shit in there. Ended up just wearing my Black Diamond liner gloves that I use for driving. Fortunately it wasn't a cold day, but the snow was falling and it was wet, so my fingers were kind of cold by the end of the day. Could have been worse, I suppose.

^ The same principle applies to cell phone chargers and cables at the front desk of every hampton inn and courtyard by marriott hotel. Someone left a cable and someone needs a cable, it all nets out to zero.

Wife left her car door open in the ski lot for a good 4 hours today. We were on the end of a lane too so tons of people walked or drove by. Haha, no one took anything, which somewhat renews my faith in the huge manatee.

Pulling up to my car after a ride this summer I saw I left my phone on top of my car. It was a shorter ride but a fairly busy trailhead. So nice that is was still there.

Heh. I could not hold leaving doors open against her because I forget that quite a lot. But I'm skiing Switzerland so they'd probably rather put a few CHF in my car than take anything because I come from the third world country Germany ;)

My wife was stress vacuuming the house last night….. cleaners came today…..

We have two of these Ikea Finnala sectional couches, one in our main living space and one upstairs. Amazing product; completely modular, pieces bolt together with 10mm hardware, they sell all sorts of sections (inside and outside corners, chases, futons, love seats, etc) you can make any combination you can dream of, they sell different covers and legs so you can change the look or wash the upholstery… anyway… a few times a year my wife requests that I break the couch down and reassemble in a different layout or change the upholstery… I piss and moan about it every time… mostly because I know I’ll be changing it again in a few months when she has the next good idea…. So I caved last week; broke down and bought an extra deep 13mm socket and nice ratcheting box end wrench so I can do the changes quickly and easily…

In a fit of honey do rage I went nuclear and got a 1/4” impact driver. Been using it on everything. Put together a ceiling fan, tightened the legs on the kitchen table, swapped some switch and outlet plates, installed a new door knob, tightened some loose hinges. I would have used it to fix her glasses but I didn’t have a small enough bit. Dangerous little acts of defiance. She has no idea who she’s messing with.

I feel a bit like a shitheel posting this. My wife spilled really hot cider, partly because it was really hot, in our very new Subaru Crosstrek. It has under 1k miles. It was an accident, I get that. And she burned her hand some. That's why I'm a shitheel for posting. Anyway, not only did it literally burn out a phone charger, with actual smoke, plugged into the accessory port, but, now the rocker switches for the heated seats have become basically glued into place. She wiped up everything that didn't seep into the cracks. But I have no idea how we're going to get the sticky mess out so that the switches will work. I haven't yet researched how to get that console apart. Heated seats are her favorite. So now we have a brand new car with a degraded must have feature. I guess it is Subaru's fault for putting the port and switches in a spot that naturally collects stuff that falls. 1st world problems and FML.

Take it to a detail shop. It is a new car, it is worth it to get it done correctly Switches are replaceable and can usually be found pretty easily online or from a dealer. Might cost some coin but it isn't unfixable and it is totally worth it to fix the stuff now and not have to deal with it for the life of the car.

My wife needs a new car. I found the car she wanted through my buddy who works at a dealership, got an at-cost price on the car and warranty, coordinated all paperwork for her so all she had to do was docusign the emails sent to her, I coordinated wiring the payments. I then also coordinated an electrician to install the charger, coordinated the rebate with my utility company, coordinated the panel upgrade with a separate sparky, and basically did everything for her. Silver platter service. The dealership said they would overnight a few documents for wet signature, and when they didn't arrive overnight on a sunday she decided to get snippy with me passive aggressively asking "i dont understand, where are the documents for us to sign, you said they would be here overnight. I dont understand. help me understand why theyre not here", not in a joking/giving shit kind of way.You know that saying "lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way". She is TERRIBLE at all 3. We both have the skills and tools to renovate our house ourselves, but there is zero chance im letting that happen as the money we would save on hiring it out would be dwarfed by the money we would lose in the 100% resulting divorce. I am so glad i never had to teach her how to ski. JFC.

My wife and I added a second story together, renovated a non conforming second unit, built a terraced garden on the hillside behind our house, and a lot of other joint projects. We argue a lot in general but not doing the projects. The projects are the best times we have together. I don't know why that is. Maybe we both like being busy and argue when we're idle and bored.

I found out my wife got her last new car and what kind it was when she drove it home for the first time. I think she kept me in the dark about it because I have opinions she can't be bothered with.
