I agree, call ahead if you can. Its still so shocking that you drive down this dirt road and then there are 300 people standing in line to get beer. Wonder how the neighbors feel.

Mtnwriter - All great suggestions above. Let me know if you plan to make it up to BTV at all and if so, a stop at Fiddlehead in Shelburne is a must. Get a growler and walk next store for some great pie...strawjack might have some comments about Fiddlehead after his visit this weekend.

I can vouch for the Fiddlehead brews, haven't had the pie.

You can get most of those brews at various local restaurants and hole in the wall places.

Goes better with food, but you can't bring it home. Should be a fun Ullrfest if we can collect a bunch of different growlers.... Buttah pays double, tho ;)

Last week I walked into Fiddlehead, picked up a case of Mastermind and walked out 4 minutes later. I did have exact change, though.

You forgot Rock Art Brewery.

If you're not interested in bringing growlers home with you, Prohibition Pig, The Resevoir, Bluestone, Positive Pie (Montpelier & Hardwick), and Three Penny Tap Room should all have some on draft.

Fiddlehead's IPA is very good. Wish the secondfiddle was around though. I bought a 4pk of their mastermind dblipa. Jury is still out on that one for me. I've only had one and I was feelin' fine when I drank it. That day went like this - Fiddle IPA, Flyin' Ryan, Zerogravity IPA, Lawsons 'bit of sunshine', Heady, then the Mastermind.

It's hard to actually find beer to bring home in a can or bottle. Heady is almost impossible and I think there is plenty out there just as good.

I did grab a six of Otter's overgrown just because of the label. Just when I thought I would never be a victim of marketing, although it is a very good APA. :smile:
