The difference in milage in my Tundra dropping down to 75mph from 80mph on the highway is significant.
55mph speed limit is coming back?
80% of the idiots on the road shouldn't be driving over 60.
Make a skid car course mandatory for a driving test. If you don't pass, you get a 3cyl Yugo

I like this one better since it shows the dips associated with gear ratios. Attachment 420752

Seems like that may not be a widespread phenomenon:

i had a bartender who told me an old GF/ mensa type drove all the way from SF to LA in the curb lane just to see what would happen
It is Sheetz, but not sure if they have all of their other 5 states they operate stations in also set up or not, Corporate is PA based and majority of their locations are PA, but they operate in other states also.
So I ran a tank of their E85. The fuel mileage seemed to be take a hit with the average MPG down about 6 MPG but the performance at least for that tank seemed pretty good.
Yeah that’s great. A 500# person that lost 50# is still fat.

Even at the heightet point in late 2021 or 2022.. other than the Colonial Pipeline hack.. did anyone see any gas stations completely out of gas anywhere at any time when gas was above $4/gallon? I'm calling BS on this while charade.

As first reported by The Drive, a decentralized group called the Tyre Extinguishers (the spelling hints at the group's U.K. origins) is promoting the idea of deflating the tires of as many SUVs as possible to help make it "impossible to own a huge polluting 4x4 in the world's urban areas." By deflating enough tires on these "massive, unnecessary vehicles," the group hopes to cause enough "inconvenience and expense for their owners" that people just stop driving big vehicles in crowded areas.

I always have Grumpies diesel you toobes on my FB even tho I no longer run a ford or a diesel, he did a thing on how the only way to get better milage/ save money was to slow down
yes you could do mods on your truck but he pointed out with a little quick math these mods take 5 years to pay off whereas you could have just slowed dwon
Gasoline getting pounded today

A one year old piece. Making excuses for record profits of refineries and oil companies

Second-quarter U.S. gasoline consumption has been less than during 2021

It's greed, plain and simple.
Oil Co's and refineries can see the writing on the wall...make bank now...
Very fortunate to live along the Oregon border.
Washington has the highest prices in the nation but I can drive 3 miles and buy it in Oregon for $2 less/gal. That adds up when I'm filling the trucks.
Just road tripped from Bozeman to Humboldt/ocean and back. Gas is expensive in OR and CA.
3.80 here.
Are there ppl that just buy fuel tankers and get there gas for 1/2 the price of say lee vining?
Slap some milk stickers on that some bitch and call it (highly illegal) good..

We were paying $2.14 a litre for marine (marked, premium) gas during our fishing trip this year. No road tax on that.
Been around $1.75/L the past few months in town. Biggest suck is that normal premium now contains up to 10% ethanol. Have to drive 45min to Bridge Lk (the nearest marked/marine gas outlet that isn’t an account/cardlock) so I can keep my gennies and 2-stokes purring smooth.
You must be able to get marked gas for farming KQ? Saved Dad thousands per year on diesel for his farm truck and tractor before he gave up farm status. Or does that work differently down there for non-hwy taxed fuel?
