Dang. Sofia’s awesome.
Isn’t she? Love watching her and have had a crush on her for years haha.
I know a lot of racers have strong personal bonds with racers on other national teams, but is it unusual/frowned upon to directly provide a scouting report to a competitor on another team? Or is that a common thing?
Just curious how things work at the World Cup level.
I loved Sofia's response. It's sportsmanship within competition. The way that it should be. I'm sure that Bella and the others received the same advice. It's about athleticism and drive, and a bit of strategy. Sofia is the best, and will be happy to give Lindsey a call in St. Moritz.....after she eats a bowl of amazing pasta. No matter how much these girls love CO., they can't wait to return to Yurp.
14th place in her first race with a knee replacement at 40 years old. That is pretty badass.
Bonkers.
Not bad for an old cougar
Good for Ms Vonn
And mad Propz to Connie Hutter - second win in two weeks
FKNA Lindsey! 14th after being out of the sport for 6 years, being 40, and having a knee replacement? That's insane.
Good on her, an amazing result in that proves she can compete. Winning though... Ain't gonna be easy.
shes gotta strike while she can if she wants to narrow that win gap to shiffrin...
would be pretty wild if she were to hit 100 first.
the coaches are all euro's they all been in it forever they all know each other they all hang out on the course
At the olympics we were all hanging out on a corner inside the fence 2 weasel workers the FIS guy and 3 or 4 euro coaches
the coaches were watching the race on a device insted of watching the actual live race which was going bywhich I thot that was weird so they were definalty sharing info
" yeah they all coming offa the jump lika thes ! sez the italian with a hand gesture of too much air
a disembodied voice on the speaker asked us to move becuz we were wanking up the camera angle, everybody looks at the FIS guy he didnt move so nobody moved insted they changed Cameras
Another super-G in St. Moritz scheduled for Sunday was canceled due to poor weather conditions. Vonn’s next races are expected to be Jan. 11-12, a downhill and super-G in St. Anton, Austria, live on Peacock.

Lindsey was in Italy today to root for Jessie Diggins and the U.S. XC team in the Tour de Ski. Jessie finished 3rd in the 7-race/9-day competition. Jessie is currently on top of the World Cup cross-country standings.

Love that
Awesome to see.
Not one but TWO MN girls!
That's class.
And now a 6th in DH, starting in the 30's? I hope some of her fellow racers who said she shouldn't do this take it back and give her some credit.
On a different note, I read her book Rise this summer, hoping it would provide some inspiration coming back from my first surgery. But nah, she really didn't paint herself in a better light. Still stoked on what she's getting done this season though.
Just amazing. Always been a fan.
