Equal to Tomba with 50 wins

I am pretty sure I am in love... way out of my league.
Has anyone had a better three weeks of racing? I can’t think of anyone. 5 for 5 in four disciplines.
Amazing

She’s really good at saying the exact right things in interviews too. Always gracious and humble.
Another weekend of wins? Hope so!

That was a great little streak she had going...all things come to an end.
Only see times, not footage; she bobble the second run?
First run times sure were close.
Another slalom win

Look at the latest podium, is it just me or do all three of these ladies look remarkably similar? Anyway I found it interesting. Her season and career will be amazing to watch.

Interesting race tonight. It was cool to see the men and the women compete at the same time to compare the styles. Vlhova adopted the technique of the men in bashing the gates with both hands while the rest of the ladies skied around the gates. I've got to wonder if Shiffrin's team fucked up and didn't prepare her for this technique or if they tried it and realized that it just wasn't going to work for her due to her size. Vlhova is a giant next to Shiffrin so it definitely worked to her advantage. Also, Hirscher is a relatively small guy and he definitely struggled trying to adapt.
Anybody know the rationale behind using GS gates for the parallel slalom?
That sounds like a great race.... now I gotta figure out how to watch it.

Zagreb = 37 slalom wins. Stenmark has the record w/ 40.
Stenmark.
Shes so fucking good. It's crazy. Even with that MASSIVE mistake she still crushed em all.
In case you folks were wondering how much the sport has progressed, here’s Stenmark from Lake Placid, (1980), w/ his winning GS and Slalom. He is faster than his skis and is skating and pushing constantly.
My view was right here:

Super cool venue to hold a race
I have seen the future and her name is Shiffrin!
Course prep is so much better too

The stadium holds 70,000+ so even the 3500-4000 crowd looked sparse in that space. The weather was really foggy last year and it was really hard for the spectators to see the race, it kinda hurt the spectator numbers this year. It’s only their second year holding this race, I think it will develops to be a good race.
Basic tickets were 350 Norwegian Krone about $40. I work in the business and was invited to this event, so my view was “a little closer” than normal. But the $40 seats directly across from my photo would have been just as close.
I have seen the future and her name is Shiffrin
She’s the present.
We’ll see her transition to speed over the next few years (?)
Hard to argue with all the Ws in the tech right now though

Just watched the race, lots of fallers. 7 slalom wins in a row!
To top Stenmark, at her age, will be remarkable. This is greatness like I've not seen in this sport (or many others).
How about the bad luck for Vlhova? But for Shiffrin she'd have 8 wins this season.
