Dear White People = Not a fan.
I watched 4 episodes. I enjoyed each enough to keep going.
Girlboss is pretty funny
IDK. I was distracted the first two episodes, and fell asleep during the third. Just weak sauce comedy, it seems. Usually, I don't like 1/2hr sitcom's with a message unless they are really funny. Maybe, if the fucking scenes were more graphic? I'm sure that I will give it another shot. Now I have seen episodes four through six which were all excellent so I'm going to continue watching .
What is this Bosch all about? I can't find it.
Is The Night Manager on Netflix? Can't find it.
definitely recommend dear white people. touches on a ton of shit in a small space.
black students to university president after white college security unaccountable for absurdly pulling a gun on a black student at a party:
"this is not a good luck for winchester university. the longer this goes on, the worse it gets."
"like a toothy blowjob!"
^^^Episodes 4-7 were $$$. I watched the entire series. After the first three episodes, which I thought were incredibly weak, I enjoyed it.
Just started watching Ray Donovan. I like it
Not Netflix.
Great music documentary

"THE ART OF LISTENING
The Art of Listening is a documentary film about the journey music takes to reach a listener’s ear, from the intent of an instrument maker and composer, to the producers and engineers who capture and preserve an artist’s voice. This journey is narrated by intimate conversations with artists, engineers and producers about the philosophy of their work and the intent behind each musical note they create.
This film is an invitation for music fans to rediscover the intricacies and details available in their favorite recordings. The Art of Listening is the beginning of a conversation of how the quality of our listening experiences define the medium.

'Get me Roger Stone' was great. I kinda respect the guy for his honesty about shameless politicking. With that said he and Roger ailes are the two people in the US most responsible for where we are today as a nation and they can both go rot in hell.
"Sense8" looked dull and contrived to me; five episodes in, and holy shit was I wrong. Slow pacing, for sure, but there is a hell of a lot going on, and the character development goes so much deeper than it appears. So well written and acted. Highly recommended.
If you like psychological thrillers give "The Invitation" at try. It starts slow but stay with it.
No Sense8 season 3?! Damn.
i'm bummed to have finished archer and haven't heard about more dear white people
OFFICER DOWNE
caught the trailer for this flick the other night.
it looks gonzo bonkers.
plus, it's directed by #6 (aka the Clown, otherwise known as Shawn Crahan) from Slipknot.
Watched Free State of Jones, Matthew Mconaghy was intense as usual. Good movie, sad, based on true story about Confederate army and SE Mississippi during and after the war.
Edit. Actually not sure if it was Netflix or HBO on demand. Either way good flick.
^Yeah, I second The Invitation. Subdued and hella creepy.
Glow, women's wrestling in the 80s, because Alison Brie:

The Astronaut Farmer
Box office flop from a decade ago. Can't say it's good, but it's not bad. So cheesy good, and the part I liked was the great shots from filming in New Mexico.
Finally finished Luke Cage (season 1, no idea if there are more seasons). Started out really strong and interesting, but went down the tubes about halfway through, I only finished out of obligation. Probably the worst of the new super hero shows that I have seen.
1st couple episodes of "Ozark" are pretty engaging.
^^^just finished Ozark last night. Really good show. It will be back.
Vincent Price's Thriller read.......+1
I thought The Iron Fist was worse. I had a hard time with the actor they chose. Iron Fist is supposed to the best martial artist in the Marvel Universe yet the actor they chose looks like he hasn't trained a day in his life. They tried editing the fight scenes in a way to mask his inability, but it didn't work.
Yeah, I heard that Iron Fist was even worse, I won't be checking that one out.
Also enjoying Ozark; I'm a little perplexed by the tepid rotten tomato reviews though.
I read another review - maybe the New Yorker? - that called Ozark a letdown. Don't get it either, other than the fact that we might just suck as TV critics.
