Pissah=good/nice. I’m from the South Shore. If it’s really good it’s, wicked pissah.
‘did you see those new Cragar rims on Joey’s Camaro, wicked pissah’.
And, yes, DSO is the absolute best
There’s a reason I can’t ever call myself a Mainer, I’ve been here twenty years and been using Pissah wrong.

Longest song the Dead ever played was this date 5/21/74.
A 46 minute Playing in the Band
Not a huge fan of single drummer shows, I actually love Mickey Hart, he adds so much beef. I also think spring ‘78 is better than spring ‘77.
Come at me!
Never listened to this one and only show from the Granite State, Jerry absolutely destroys on this Estimated Prophet.

I forgot how to embed video, just hit the watch on YouTube and be blown away!
Thanks!
The only thing about ‘78 (at least fall) is that you can hear a change in Jerry’s playing...in my mind, due to his opium smoking.
Went on a whole spring 78 listening tour it’s totally the goods - I he highs are high and the lows well they show some wear and tear...
Keep coming back to this one though

I’m an unabashed Bobby fanboy. Always loved is style and tone. This is great breakdown of just how good he is. Might need to rewind it to the beginning.

Hampton Coliseum.
Listened to this podcast this morning which had some interesting nuggets of insight for me… one of which was that I found myself appreciating how thoughtful Mayer was on a variety of topics including Garcia.
Speaking of podcasts, have y’all been listening to the good ol’ grateful deadcast?
Greek 85 run past few days in history was a force to be reckoned with!

Love summer ‘85, hell, I love all of ‘85.
6/18/67... Monterey Pop Festival. Dead's set was sandwiched between The Who (smashed their instruments) and Hendrix (famously set his guitar on fire). Tough room.
Three night Alaska run 1980 for the Summer Solstice…
Been pouring through that run in AK!

Those 88 Oxford plains shows…

Loved Oxford ‘88, what a free for all that was. The Monsters of Rock tour or some shit had been through there a week or two before. The locals couldn’t believe how much different the crowds were. They were putting garden hoses out for us to fill jugs, picnic tables to hang around. We camped by the final approach of the little airstrip. I was dosed, so dosed! Watching the small planes coming in for the landing was a hoot. I posted up under a delay tower for the shows, the bombs Phil dropped during Jack Straw were the biggest he ever dropped. Never heard anything like it, place was going bonkers. Fireworks and nitrous all night long. What a party!
Final night, 26 years ago today.

It was hard to watch back then, there was just no way he was long for the world. But , on this night he had the juice:
7/9/89 giants stadium
The whole tour.
