I built a boat once too but I haven't floated it yet..
Me and my business partners (three people) built this:

WooHoo!
Root, I love that touch on the braces. Nice Work!
Built/planted this at my parents' house couple of summers ago:

That tree's roots got all under the old walkway, so I put in a concrete wall ~2-3ft below ground to keep them away for a few years. Here's day 1:

Some nice stuff and variety in here. I'm just finishing up a ski cabin in VT I started three years ago (probably would have finished it in two years if I hadn't wasted so much time on TGR!). It had 25 abandoned cars, tons of trash and a squatter. It's been a lot of work, but I loved doing it... this will be the first ski season we can actually use it... yahoo!

nice stuff. about all i have is handpainted guitars and flies. incredible boat!
Bigdaddy, that is fucking awesome! nice work!
Thanks... Any Sugarbush mags (or visitors) are welcome for a beer (or two)! (Guest house is next!) Your no nails deck is serious craftmanship. My neighbor works with cedar and did the balcony railing for me (wish I could say I did it, but it'd take me three weeks!):

Damn, there is some quality stuff on here.
Jack and I did the foundation and the framing, Sutton and I did the siding, and I did all the drywall by my lonesome. The best part is that it's affordable housing, so I know someone will actually live there, unlike most of the time when I know the second homeowner will only be there for a couple of weeks a year.

There's a lot of great stuff here but right now i want to give a big w00t to BigDaddy. Aren't you the guy with the luge run, too? Great job, man.
This is how I dos it
http://images.kodakgallery.com/photo...6110_0_ALB.jpg
Booner, you need to re-dos it. Can't see shit.
Thanks! (You guys are making me blush!) Yes, that's me with the tubing/luge run. I want to put a pond in, too, and then I'm looking into hosting the Winter Olympics for 2018... I want it to be a family rec center, so we can just chill and hang there all weekend.
Your post and beam work looks very impressive. I'm thinking about a kit from Country Carpenters for my garage/guest house. I love the aesthetic, and how they can erect it in about a day. I'd want to insulate it though, so I guess you have to use the insulated panels. Do you have any expertise or ideas about this? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
No, you don't have to use the panels BD, especially if you go for an all wood (t&G) "sheathing". Talk to those guys regarding what you want to accomplish and they should send you in the right direction. I'll pm you some panel links of companies I've used. They make sense on big jobs, but if yur doing the work yourself and want to save some money, there are alternatives.
Built this and put in the slider with my Dad two weekends ago, definitely stoked on the results.

I am proud of these pedestrian gates. I only have a pic of one of the three, but everything was hand bent and placed as I built it. No drawings, just an idea.

That is fucking sick. Where do you live? We could violate rich people together.
We are closing on a house next week, I need ten feet of very modern handrail. I wish I could weld.
You should be proud, Doughboy...that's fucking beautiful!

Tell me you don't really have Bud Light on tap.
^ That should be in the "man cave" thread!
PS- Just guessing that it's Budweiser on tap...?
wow!
Thanks for the great words!
Rootskier, I am in the great northwest, but really can ship anywhere.
I build artisticly inspired automated gates and fencing. I love it when I get to be creative with a job.

I would have to say this is one of the coolest tables ever.:yourock:
I built this last July. I still need to cut plugs for the holes in the posts.

Here are this and thats from my household:
First my wife used to make quilts of her own design. Here is one:

Cabinetry is expensive! My wife saw a kitchen in a magazine and we approximated the shelves.

Landscaping: brutal, back breaking labor that really is worth it!

A friend gave me an old ski lift chair from Mount Baker that was made into a bench. Wife and I stripped the rust, removed the nasty old seat and back covers, and made it a shop bench.

unfortunately the table is all cracked now from being in the sun..... oh well. the table is still cool and i am hoping to have the chairs finished before this summer....
Few workbenches for the shop.

Nice shit Gordyman. Tell me about how you anchored the intermediate shelf, here. It looks like you just used 3/4 galvanized pipe, right? I have curtain rods that are similar...but with black pipe.
I didn't really build the parts for it, but I rebuilt the engine on my 94 4runner. There was great satisfaction when it started without hesitation on the first try when it was in the car again. A few select pictures from the process:
