So uh......what's the sizzler?
You have a week. Dirt jumping early week and Mammoth late week/weekend preclude me from hitting Empire this week. But next for sure. In fact we should just take one evening and lug up a couple chain saws and clean that smack up for good.Quote:

Otter got some shots of it so maybe he'll post when he gets his film developed.Quote:

I really want to work on the 2-3 upper stunts and get them rebuilt as well. Stoked to see Empire was doable. I like Empire so much better than DV. It is actually less scary to me for some reason...upper Fireswamp and Thieves just sketch me out. Plus they make my brake fingers tired really fast.
P.S. Otter you promised to show me the stuntage at Mueller...let's go! Name any day this week.
Heh, as much as I'd like for you to continue believing that, I have to clarify. He's saving a spot for when I do ride Sizzler. I still haven't done it. In my defense, I didn't think the Heckler was up to the task. Hopefully I'll get the 888 back soon so I can go back to pooning out with no good excuse.Quote:

Heh, see your moose thread. Definitely hitting Tanner tonight. I'll do whatever tomorrow.Quote:

otter - were you hitting the rear brake on the corkscrew? don't want to touch much of the rear or it'll skid you right outta there :)
Come on, you guys can do that.
I just did it in my head sitting here.
I have absolutely no doubt I can do it. I've envisioned it many times and it doesn't even look that hard. It's just the consequences of any little screw up are quite severe...that's what gets to me.Quote:

focus on the landing, not the broken wrist :D
Holy shneikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know. All i know is that when I am at the crux I dont feel like I can lean my body into the fallline. It scares the shit out of me, and then I just bail. I know that I just need to line it up and keep of the brakes, but easyer said than done.
Just land rear wheel first.
Or front wheel first.
Or both at the same time.
Just keep an eye on your tire patch. Can't let that get out of hand.
Whoa, almost a whole page and only one picture. That need to be remedied.
Hit up Empire again last night with Particle, a buddy of his; Otter and a couple of his friends; and ktrials. Good times. Lots of carnage with multiple attempts at riding the skinnies and then some fun chuckin on the gappages. Sorry, no pics of the hurlin as I was too busy riding. Here are some shots from up higher though.
Particle, approaching the corkscrew:

After slaying one dragon, another comes up and trips up Otter. Thank goodness for knee pads.

Ktrials and a non-mag sending it.

I saved that video and forgot to watch it. With those pics and the helmet footy, I think I need to come ride that trail some time. Is most of it still in tact? Doubles and all?
CS: I don't know if you're into trying to get your photos published, but your shots belong in mags. I know it's been said before but every time you put up a new batch, I'm reminded.
I made him submit to our catalog so we'll see if he gets anything published in our November book :)Quote:

Where do you work particle....or just what catalog?
Backcountry.com. I'll be making the final call w/ my sr. designer on photo selection but I have to be all impartial about it so we'll see.Quote:

Thanks for taking those photos. They look awesome. To bad I didn't make the last stunt. you should have seen your face though. White as a ghost. The look on your face said( I just bought that new flash and Lloyd just killed it). I am glad that no bodies or equipment was broken.
I knew I should have put a few more shots of you in there. You know, grease the wheels a little.Quote:

And have you trekked to Mammoth to ride yet? I would love to see those pics, as I am sure the rest of the mags would.

CS - great shots as always. Every time I see your photos I tell myself: "Damn, you really have to buy a DSLR."
But, then I also tell myself: "You're not nearly as good a photographer as CS, so forget about it!"
Franz, thanks mang.
Now, here is some non-bike stuff from yesterday and this morning just below Mt. Timponogos.

great shots dude. That corkscrew ladder looks like tonnes of fun.
CS: killer photographer, Insane nut job rider, and very cool dude on top of it all. Thanks, for tagging me along on Sat. Was a good time.
Otter: having seen many of his shots not posted on this site... anything he shoots turns to gold. Quit slackin and post some more. You film shooters are so slow!(sarcasm)

WTF? CS not wearing a hawaiian shirt? Boooo!!!
SICK pics otter, just don't let Reddick see this thread ;)
Yeah otter, nice work, as always. Way to get artistic on the flash and panning action.
It was requested I wear something more slut-worthy. I guess the hawaiians just didn't stand out enough.Quote:

Otter decided to build a fire, which subsequently filled the whole hut with smoke.
http://cmoney.smugmug.com/photos/89849028-L.jpg
But, some of the smoke actually made it out the chimney, which we discovered looked kinda cool when back-lit. (just beware the shadow-ghost of otter-man)

A nice view of the Heber Valley out the front door. Otter can't decide if he wants to check it out or lay down and contemplate life.
http://cmoney.smugmug.com/photos/89849052-L.jpg
Or was that check out the view or listen to tunes? Eh, whatever.

It was fun to get out and shoot something besides biking. Great company and a great location. And now that my legs are killing me from the hike, it helped me realize that yes, I am out of shape. Oh well, back to the biking for me. I st next Monday anybody?
http://cmoney.smugmug.com/photos/89849067-L.jpg
Ohhh... you two look so cute with your matching outfits from head to toe. Otter, does Shilo know about you two? Okay, jokes aside, my eyeballs are in heaven - thank you Otter for finaly posting some more gold - and you too CS. Amazing shots.
