I think that the Aliases are generally pretty good, lord knows I've created a few. Even a few that were prolly over the line. Whatever, it isn't like it is some big secret who they are really. Ogre might be a bit overused but it is funny IMVHO, although, I'm sure that it just burned squackfag's hide that SuPu's supposed alias could taunt him from micronesia where he didn't send a single post for two weeks other than the heckle squackfag.

Like all things here: lame ones fade quickly and the quality ones endure.

Richard Pryor was funny, Chris Rock is hilarious, and for those with a really wicked sense of humor, Dennis Miller is still a riot

but if you think somebody screaming the same line over and over for 140 posts is funny, you need to get out of the house and away from the computer more often

OGRE does nothing but trash every thread he posts in and TGR would quickly become a cesspool if there were 10 OGRE's or 20 OGRE's or 30 OGRE's flaming away at everybody here

I've found that not using an alias makes you a better member and keeps you from being impulsive and negative. When you do make mistakes the onus is on you and you learn from it.

I agree with the others that say aliases are ok if they are meant to be funny, its part of the tradition, but when they cross the line to venom they should be ousted for all to see.

i disagree, its the alias' that flame that are stupid. some are good for a chuckle when used well. I don't remember "the pope" ever flaming on anybody do you? For the record, I don't find Ogre funny, but neither do I find him annoying / insulting etc. The normal rules of the Universe don't apply in TGRworld, it's a bit like the Matrix in that respect. I'll accept them as they are. However, Ogre's the only one on my ignore list as I know what he'll say anyway and I can do without size 40 fonts.
