So what's the word on discounted lift tickets? Where are we skiing on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday? If we can't get discounts, what's the cheapest package you can get retail?

I can show up saturday night... Anyone confirm there is still floor space somewhere? Runnin on fumes when it comes to cashflow. Driving down from Bozeman if anyone wants a ride.

Looks like I am planning on traveling solo to Utah for the Mini. Any CO mags want to tag along? I would love to share the gas and have some company. I have confirmed floor space with Tresckow and Kristen.

Thinking I'm in if the weather looks good. [/antijinx]

sounds like a good reason to go to UT, but a big weekend before and daytona weekend after, so it may be too much too pull with school...

i generally never plan anything, so....

Plans are coming together and it looks like a lot of folks will show up!

Here is a rough plan so far

Friday 2/10:
Alta/Bird, with Apres at Goldminers Daughter.
Party at Skiingbear/Skiguides casa later that night.

Saturday 2/11:
Solitude, party at Boarderline's casa

Sunday 2/12
Snowbasin, Apres somewhere up there if we want

Monday and Tuesday are open as well as folks might want to go touring. A lot of us will be @ Alta mainly on that Friday from what I hear. That should be a really fun night as well, always is!

Meeting times and where for those who may want a later start and still catchup with Maggots?

Snowbasin is the big Bronze Moose that you damn near walk into right at the ticket window/base of Needles Gondola. 9 and ?

Am working on acquiring as many 1/2 price vouchers for soli sat. At the least I should be able to use preseason days@ a rate of $30 somethin a day.
The wife and I tour twin lakes or silverfork every Sun. if people don't want to road trip and give big Earl any $$$. Not that the basin isn't a fun place to visit. Will probably be touring Mon. Tues. has been my day to tour long if anybodies up for a slog.

I just realized my tickets to SLC were during the mini so I guess i'm coming. :biggrin: I'm arriving the 8th and leaving the 13th. I'm staying with a friend/client in Park City and will prolly rent a car so i can provide rides if needed

What about Brighton? Is it worth going to Brighton?

I agree, Brighton rocks. But Brighton is usually a total crowded cluster on Saturdays, whereas Solitude is typically far less crowded on weekends than Brighton.

BobMc’s usual meeting place is the Eagle lift. Although the Eagle lift may not be the most convenient place to meet it is still probably the best. If you have your tickets in advance then it is easy to get to (since you can park near it), but if you have to buy your tickets in the morning then you will have a little bit of a slide from the Moonbeam Center to the lift – still not much of a problem. Meeting in the Village (at the Powderhorn lift) would be great, but there is limited parking there. Regardless of where the first meeting place is, it might be a good idea to have a second meeting place at the Summit lift later in the morning since that is where the goods are. 10:00 at the Summit lift would work well.

The Curse

So what's the plan for meeting up each day?

I'm signed up for the Str8line camp the 10th through the 12th, so I won't be able to ski with the main crew until the 13th. At least there are some maggots at the camp.

Is anyone staying longer than the 14th?

I've got a place to stay through the 11th, but after that, I may be looking for a place to crash.

edit: I think I'm in (90% or so). Legality of bringing a keg over the the Idaho/Utah border? I have a Coors Light leftover from a party untapped-it's a couple months old but it's been kept cold and it's free so there should be no complaints.

It's obviously illegal, all kegs are without a bar license. However, I'd just conceal it well and not get pulled over. Honestly I'll probably drink something else myself, I'm a bit of a snob, but others will probably appreciate it :)

I was just wondering if the keg had to go in stealth mode or not so that answers my question.
