My uncle was one of those who was the hit of the nursing home in his last years. But he was about as charismatic as they come, a genuine people person. It's those of use who were born cranky loners who are better off dying on the floor.

In college I used to deliver sandwiches from the pickle barrel (the one in bozeman not colorado springs) to an old dude in a nursing home. More often than not he had his shirt off and two or three hunched-over osteparosis grannys with walkers visiting him. The sandwiches were these massive piles of meat and cheese that old people just shouldnt and didnt order.
Dude had an anchor Popeye tattoo, he was a legend.
If I wind up in a nursing home nobody is going to tell me what I can and cannot eat.
K, well, can you pick up some 50/50 spring mix and baby spinach on your way?
Actualy NO cuz he lost his license due to the stroke which she probably gave him so he could no longer drive and she also took away his walker
