I’m an admin/mod of killingtonzone.com. We could replicate the TGR forum/subforum structure over there as a last resort.
Regarding costs, we’ve found that inline google ads pretty much covers our hosting costs. The money problem comes in when a forum is run as a business as you don’t make enough to cover any labor costs.
What if we just start a GoFundMe raise 5 grand and hand it to todd?

Wikipedia asks for money each year from its reader base and that bit of crowdfunding seems to be helpful.
Building a new forum is one thing, porting over the TGR database to another system is a different challenge. But it’s doable.
As cliche as it sounds, a gofundme to cover the cost of a server migration + fees for a year or two would be the best option. It would show if there is actually the crowd (and cash) to support such a move.

ski.com.au as an interesting way of raisin’ revenue. It’s free for your first 1000 posts. For anybody to post after 1000 posts there is a modest subscription fee. Seems to work well enough for them to continue to fund their shenanigans..

Does TGR intercept/overwrite affiliate links?That seems like a genuinely fair method of helping to cover costs and I know modules exist (at least on newer forum software) to automate it. So if I link to some random crap in Amazon and someone else buys it…TGR gets the affiliate revenue for the sale (and anything else you buy in the same shopping trip). Doesn’t cost the buyer anything extra so it is a win-win.
I'm a FNG, so excuse me if this is common knowledge, but is anyone that works at TGR actually paying attention to the forums? Affiliate links and paid memberships both seem viable, are they getting those suggestions and evaluating them?

The emojies are tapatalk's web beacons so they can get in on data harvesting like meta et al. Look where they point. Everyone viewing is downloading them. Maybe they can be blocked with an ad blocker?
Yeah FYI posting on Tapatalk renders your post unreadable on the regular site. Maybe mobile too? I just use the full site on Mobile and it’s fine. Tapatalk has always sucked IMO even when it worked.
I’d def be good for some cash for a lump sum gofundme to fix the site and then a subscription fee after that if it came to it. Lots of laughs and good info and hookups here.
