I've got change for a nickel, if that helps.

That's in my head and I don't know why. I think it's an old-timey country song but not sure. Too lazy to google it.
Gazpacho??

Gumbo no, Gazpacho yes. Had an awesome bowl of French Onion at Maple Soul in Rochester after my ride Thursday.

According to teh google AI:
Gumbo is one of the most famous dishes to result from Louisiana's shared Creole-Cajun heritage. Gumbo falls somewhere between a thick stew and a hearty soup and can contain ingredients such as chicken, sausage, ham, seafood, okra, tomatoes, and greens.
If you use less okra, it's more like a soup.

the only acceptable use for okra...

fact.
Gumbo doesn't taste right if it's got no okra. And it would for sure be soup.
I put okra in jambalaya also.
I lived in the deep south when I was in the military and it's everywhere down there.

I’m not a huge fan of the slash for the camera moves but there was generally some impressive skiing in that short vid.
Thanks! Been busy adapting to the seemingly new normals. Water temps still in the mid 50s on the Broad Lake even during snow squalls;)

And yes, that’s the slash turn of fishing poses;)

showing all of those slash turns in a row was certainly a choice lol.
and while it raised an eyebrow when i watched it too and couldn’t also get down with all the urban jibbing, the music is good, the woods scenes are great, and that last party with the booter…. wish i was there.
overall i thought it was a great ec short and a throwback to the old meatheads stuff.
The “one-turn wonder”/ “slash turn” is an instagram/self-marketing bullshit move that instantly cheapens and degrades any ski line. Pull that shit in front of me and I’ll run you over in the Fall Line.
Get off my ski hill! (Shakes fist at clouds)

… Wait, did I just say that out loud?! Oops.
What I meant to say was that I love seeing the next generation having fun on skis.

hell yeah brothers a newer one
omg that chic chocs bowl at 14ish mins fuck i wish i was doing that right meow
No, I am honestly glad when anyone is out in the snow and having fun.. and these folks certainly are having fun. Must’ve channeled my inner Djongo there for a moment.
I do know that if I’m skiing down the hill backwards, something is definitely wrong.

The 10 day forecast is brutal and the long range isn’t looking much better, but I’m not betting against K snowmaking.
mountain biking or skiing?
K can do it with just a few days of cold weather with the amount of guns on superstar.
I am hoping Cannon opens thanksgiving weekend!
or at least Loon.
Still fishing on Cape Cod. I just put the boat away after this weekend. oddly warm here, especially at night, especially considering the short day.
Doesn't someone from FIS have to sign off on the course a certain number of days before the event for training and all that? Superstar is a little lower elevation than North Ridge.
I guess as you said they know worst case scenario and how many hours it needs to be freezing at night to go full blast and make enough.
Opening the windows to make it feel like soup season is worth it.
