Haha. I wish it was someone as famous as Kelly Kapowski! I’d put up with a lot for someone with Saved by the Bell money. But she was more of a small role person, and I don’t really want to dox her since she’s tried hard to stay under the radar since leaving that life, regardless of how nuts she is! [emoji23]
And this too. If she does something horrible to me or something you know I’ll be on here spilling the hot gossip.
This sounds like heaven
Probably don’t have to take your hat off to eat a hot dog, at that place.

I prefer my oysters in a stew or fried.
Do they talk funny there?
No, everyone else does though. I forgot, they also have lobster rolls that are pretty good, if just a bit on the skimpy side. And chowdah.
Frankly it’s a little rude of you to wait til it’s closed for the season to tell us about it [emoji12]
Otzi keeps popular seaside oyster hangouts to himself for the sesason...
In jeans.
And orders off the kids menu.
"Excuse me sir, I'd like a split of your Brut Rosé and your finest hot dog."
Nothing but Rhode Island's finest.
When in season of course.
Just don't think big nasty loogey when it's in your mouth and you'll be fine. Same as clams on the half shell.

It's honestly my favorite fall activity anymore.
Call all your friends over. Build a fire under the steel. Soak some burlap in sea water. Toss a bushel of local cluster oysters on the hot steel and cover with the burlap and let roast for a bit.
Dump on a plywood table with a big hole in the middle for shells with hot sauce, saltines, lemons and lots of beer.
When I fought wildfire in Alaska, we’d often be out in the bush on a fire for days on end and the food wasn’t much to write home about. When I got home after a long stint I liked to have a long soak and shower, put on fresh clothes, pick up my accumulated mail and go to a nice restaurant in town for a fresh, well prepared meal - usually something like a salad and oysters (and beer). This one time I ran into a colleague at the restaurant and got to talking, and it turned out he’d never had a raw oyster so I gave him one to try. He popped it in kind of reluctantly and started chewing it. I laughed and told him “sort of like a booger, huh?” He was seriously grimacing and shook his head and said “not as good.”
I just heard that guy died of cancer a couple weeks ago.
Boy, talk about a whammy of a story. It started so good... Sorry about your friend MS
This thread is a rollercoaster of emotions
Well that's another reason not to eat oysters. Guy had one and died.
I'm with Buster. Grilled oysters with garlic butter, and maybe a sprinkle of parm. I have only ever eaten one raw oyster many decades ago. One and done.
Some of my favorite books that I own. Oysters, and hot dogs, are some of my most sought after pleasantries.

Makers-- in which thread did I read your sig? "This is like hanging yourself but the rope breaks?"
Also, y'all are going on about oysters. Ever had octopus eggs?
I may be slightly in love with this chef on Tik tok and here she is today making scallops and drinking Veuve straight from the bottle

Cooking oysters is a waste. Cooking bull testicles is not.

Can’t we all get along?
Can I love her too? Cause that’s hot.
I love tasting the ocean from raw oysters, no accoutrements, but a roast is a fantastic time and great eats.
Jimmy understood the assignment.
(Nice to see you got Iceman his food too)
Grilled oysters with a fresh mignonette sauce are divine. Also with melted cheese on top.
Oyster stuffing? Oyster hand pies with a velouté and some veg?
C'mon now.
