The OG early 2000s Colorado Minis at A-basin. Legendary ragers. If you aren't burning entire trees in parking lots and Max isn't sleeping in a folding chair at 2pm you can't call it a Mini/Summit.

I've met so many maggots over the years. I've gotten jobs, gotten several clients, etc etc through the maggot eco system.
While there's not necessarily hostility, there's been plenty of dicey interactions and people that have had to get kicked out of places as well. It's not an all or nothing thing. I'd say most of the people I've gotten to hang with have been great, but there's definitely some that were very off and others that made their own "too cool" clique like a bunch of lame-o's.
I will say that the "great sorting" that happens in the first few runs is always a hilarious time as people sort into ability groups to go after common objectives. I was rarely at the front, but it was always nuts to have 30-40 people bombing down some thin traverses randomly peeling off as it got hairy.
There was a mention that Nurse Ben is still around somewhere. Sierra foot hills maybe? Doing his thing unicycle and all. The day that whomever made the alias Elias and put together his anti-NTN sabotage case on Ttips will forever be etched in my memory as a day the internet won.Quote:

I went to the Utah mini at Solitude because I was a local there, so I showed up for one morning. Met a bunch of great people who don't remember me! And some other great people too and had fun skiing with east or bust, Norse, yetiman, dibs, and more. Was looking forward to skiing with iceman splat and djongo but they just got stoned went to breakfast.

10 inch powder day on wanker Wednesday
at the Big rock pile. Was too powder crazed
for a hut tour. :)
