Yah, we all want different things outta skis, but concur for sure; for me and my 195#, at a larger mountain, Squad suspension doesn't hold a candle to the 194 FL113s. The HL FL/FR layup is like one of those things you didn't know existed as a kid, but once discovered, made your life infinitely better (booze, drugs, Basic Instinct, to name a few). There are a lot of stiffer skis on the market on which I cannot find the top end, but the HL layup allows me to go those speeds, but the ride is smoothly unflappable. Found myself over flexing Squads in the alpine, but I am a traditional hack, so YMMV.
Marsh, June ski question for ya. You mentioned that the FR110s will be 2 ticks softer than FL113s, just curious if the flex profile is similar (ie. stiffer front half, softer tail)? Don't wanna mount too far back and neuter the tail a la R11s is my thinking, especially with some splay back there. TIA.
