Seriously, anyone in the USA supporting Putin is a total nut job.
Putin and Xi made a deal about the Olympics for support
Very intense in the security council right now.
Time to kick Russia out of swift.
This feels like a Clancy novel or Bond film with a Russian leader attempting to return to former glory.
Time to deport the oligarchs and seize their yachts.

It's always scary witnessing another chapter of history being written in front of ones eyes.
Marco Rubio is live tweeting it which is sort of crazy.

Seems pretty straightforward if you ask me.
there are regular TGR posters blaming this on the US for escalating things...wrap your head around that
Putin takes the airport, then Kyiv, and no one is going to step in to help.
Swift, fast, easy.
Going for the jugular for sure.
Russian IRBMs and heavy bombers lighting up Ukraine but between those and Putin's threats of nuclear war are enough that we have clearly put ourselves on an alert footing based on apparent dispersal of line of succession for the National Command Authority.
It must be an exciting night in NORAD :(
"Missile Event!"
Meanwhile the last president gets on TV to say how much better he is, gets put on hold to listen to UN ambassadors shit talk.
And holy fuck, it sounds like amphibious assault on Odesa! That is just plain nuts if true!
The Russian army is way upgraded since Putin took over. It’d be a great night for some arctic cold to set in. They probably checked the forecast though.
Fuck Putin.
Pretty bold flex of Godwin's law.
Holodomor.
We had a drone out over the Ukraine just an hr ago. Now it’s over the Black Sea.
I don’t think they’d hesitate to knock it out.

Good guys on both sides amirite?
Russia hammering the gavel on the session of the Security Council as the Ukrainian ambassador is bringing their grievances as missiles from Russia hit Ukraine... dead right that’s a goal. This is insane.
EU has to take the lead on this one for once.
Ukraine’s mig29’s can make the flight to sochi. three of them should go put some holes in Putin’s palace rather than retaliate anywhere else on Russian soil. If the civilians see this a cockamamie plan of their leadership that does nothing to improve their lives, maybe it’ll put some pressure on Vlad to think again.
I'm no military expert, but seems like Ukraine's runways just got smoked and any planes flying into Russia without Russian tags would get blown out of the sky pretty quickly? Seems like foreign intervention is the only way Putin isn't doing everything he wants...which obviously sucks.

Ehh. It’s all in Verdi. It’s all about me
FYI. Me. Is really heating up this week
Saw a pic of dead Ukraine soldiers. Makes me think of all those interviews on the VICE channel. Those guys are getting hammered tonight.
Going to get uglier. Gut check.

Source? Was watching the ABCNews live on youtube, but it's like MTT says. Lots of warmongering talking heads. They say Kyiv getting bombed, but the live shot behind them shows a normal looking city, no flashes in the sky. (That doesn't mean it's not being bombed, but it sure doesn't look like Baghdad)
I'm not doubting you, I'm looking for an intelligent source.
On the "it's the west's fault" I found this lecture from 8 years ago. John Mearsheimer makes that argument https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrMiSQAGOS4
The basic argument is Putin's afraid of NATO, and we don't listen. He goes into a lot more detail, including some Ukraine background and support for some of Putin's complaints. Not that it justifies anything, more a Machiavellian explanation, and some understanding how Putin sees things. It's worth a watch.
Hopefully Ukraine can resist and draw an unacceptable price from the Russians.
