I hear ya. When I was in Germany last summer I had a NA beer that I wouldn't mind as an occasional driver. It was a regional brew and I can't remember what it was. It was tasty. My brother in law is a dry drunk. I guess this somehow helps him, one NA brew once a week on Fridays. Whatever works bro. I definitely drank the real thing when I was out on my own. When did Long Trail Ale change? Sometime in the last year or so the recipe had to have changed. Recent purchases taste sweet and syrupy. It is not at all what I liked about it for so many years, even after it changed hands. WTF???
