Nude photos without the subjects knowledge and or permissions

This isn't about me being offended. I could care less about seeing naked women. Its about posting images of nude people that have the potential to cause harm without the naked person's consent.

I'm not going to argue anymore with you about how an embarrassing picture of someone skiing or drunk or anything else is different from a naked picture taken of a woman in an intimate setting where she had the reasonable expectation of privacy. I'm not going to argue if posting pictures sent to you with the assumption that you would not share them is okay, or not. If you don't already understand that, you need more help than I could provide.

I am not going to argue if it really matters if you had consent or not when it looks like its likely you didn't. Looks like is what it looks like the community accepts.

I know that you are smart people and you are all just adding confusion to the issue because you like your sneaky naked picture thread. I know its scary to have your world view threatened.

What I really what to know is where Teton Gravity Research stands on the issue, because like it or not, the TGR forums represent Teton Gravity Research, the company.

Does TGR want to hang out in the dark ages of oppression and objectification of women? Do they want to continue to provide all you assholes a platform to be toxic?

Or does TGR want to join the rest of the mountain sports industry and start welcoming and supporting women and girls? Do you want to encourage women to rip, or do you just want a bunch of topless Lange girls to oogle?

I know that legally its probably not an issue for TGR to host these forums with its assholes and porn. Its a question of what kind of community does this company want to be associated with.

Maybe I've missed it as this discussion seems to be going on in multiple threads that I haven't followed, but I haven't even see you acknowledge that you don't really know, and that figuring out the true answer is quite difficult. If your position is that it is difficult, and we can't really know, but that it's better to err on the side of not allowing anything, at least be honest and say that.

Yes.. I reported the image. It looks questionable and someone called the poster out and the poster brushes it off as joke and ssys details don't matter and does not insist it was consental. It reads like posting non consent is ok.

Also lots of "exgirlfriends". It's likely at least some of it is revenge porn.

Agsin... are seeing these pictures more important than not providing a platform for revenge and non consent porn?

It's not unreasonable to assume that booners picture was not consensual. Based on the photo and his response, I think the woman was unaware she was being photographed.

I also think, based on my life experience that some of the other pictures are non consental just on law of averages.

I don't know many women that would consent to being posted naked on tgr and I know a lot of women that have had pictures of them shared that they didn't cobsent to.

Mostly just buddies showing buddies.

It's unclear what your stance on this is bbear...

First, the picture I took issue with looks like it was taken without knowledge. If that is the case, she couldn't "only leave footprints" because she didn't even know..

The second issue is that it was suggested she didn't know in the thread and laughed about. Nobody said a word. The community just proved it cannot self police.

Second, I will agree is probably not a good idea to allow people to take naked pictures of you (or take them yourself) if you don't want them shared, but it really sucks that you cannot expect partners and ex partners to have the integrity to honor their promises on that.

Wouldn't men rather women be comfortable sharing pictures because they know if they did share them people would be all over you for being an asshole?

It's criminal to peek through windows at women or set up spy cams or make peepholes to see naked women..

Isn't looking at pictures against their will pretty damn similar?

This has nothing to do with my feeling about porn, nudity or sexuality or if I think porn should or should not exist anywhere and everywhere.

It is about consent and respect. It's about how a person feels when their privacy and trust has been violated. It's about the fact that once a nude picture is online, it's there to potentially haunt someone forever.

If a middle school kid found a teacher's nude pic here and spread it around the school would said teacher face negative consequences?

If someone's angry soon to be ex recognized someone...

If some jealous dude saw some other guy had pictures of some chick he knew..

The world really isn't that big and most of us live in or near ski towns and most of us know skiers and mountain bikers and climbers and the like.

It's not a huge stretch.
