You don't think Bob would have seen the workings of Babylon in some crazy ass white racist deciding to kill a bunch of people attending a prayer meeting? Let's be honest, the Rastafari faith is batshit crazy, too, but it does have its high points, points that should be emulated by us all to the extent we're able.

generally, I do not like to project my expectations on how people should be acting, especially those that are dead and/or that i do not know. Marley's messages in the later part of his life was (and still is) powerful and influential. i wished to have experienced it first hand. of course, the message was not novel, but it was loud and experienced and heard by many.

it is great that there are many musicians continuing to carry, spread, and progress the messages. i remember attending the power to the peaceful rally in precita park in SF in Sept 2001, after 9/11, where spearhead performed and assisted in organizing the event. it was raw, loose, powerful, and healing.

Updating my thread from ten years ago, because Bob Marley would be Eighty years old today.

It’s 4:20 here, and I am high AF, Pandora streaming a chill downtempo remix of his music. Jah provides. Listening to his music this afternoon provides a nice escape from the turmoil in our world.

So much trouble in the world...

Bob's message is timeless.
