I like Chris Harris and Sabine but I just don't think they can replicate the chemistry and humor of the originals. They have tried many times over in other countries and it never comes off. The show was more than the obligatory motorcycle or other object doing a trick over the speeding car and the Stig. I hope it is good. If they were intent on bringing an American why not bring in Tanner Foust ? I will watch regardless.
Neither Harris nor Schmitz have any real TV personality or gravity... Harris' clips were great because he had such genuine excitement about the cars, and he didn't do anything to water that down. Even in the Drive shows on TV these days, you can see that Harris fancies himself as a bit of a star now, and it only hurts his delivery. He was better when it seemed he couldn't quite believe what was happening.Quote:
