Awesome game, and good seats (thanks Doremite!). Definitely down for a mid-summer gathering in B-town for watching the game somewhere, some beers, etc. I'll take the drunkard downeastah express...

Speaking of the downeaster, on the trip down to the game, the cafe opened at 8:30 am - immediate line of about 50 Sox fans, and the beer drinking began. On the trip back (6:20 pm ride back to Portland), that line was longer, and the sound of cracking beer cans didn't end until we pulled into Portland around 9:00 pm. Maine Sox fans definitely like their booze.:eek:

The july 4 party is in southie and THAT you would enjoy, lots of cool people. I just met Bostonjohn recently but he's a fun guy and throws a great shindig. I'll prob be on the cape for the usual party but might stay in the Bean.

So I went back and caught the Sox/Chicago game last Saturday (awesome game by the way).

We got cut off from the beer vendors before the first pitch. Yeah, I'm bragging about it.

^pfft... many years ago, I got kicked out of Fenway between the top and bottom of the first. Now that took some skill. And I was only heading to the bathroom...

Okay fine... you win.

But for reference sake, we were only like 6 or so brews deep at the time. The beer guy was just being a douchebag.... and it'n not like we didn't get a good 6-8 beers each from another beer vendor a few hundred feet away. So in other words, you win hands down.

trust me, I really wish I didn't "win". It was a junk show. Of the twelve that went to the game, only 4 were allowed to stay the duration. Yea college idiots!

Sorry Advres... I ended up sitting on the couch Wed night, and went to bed before that shit show was over.
