So skiing in the East is way better than out West due to diversity, culture and soul. Gotcha.
I heard all you fags ski with rainbow coalition hang towels.
Really? I thought it was pretty funny, and true.
Aren't you the same toolbag asking whether Crested Butte would challenge you?
http://www.twistedcodes.com/graphics...res/a/lmao.jpg
Like, fucking wowsers man!! I've never skied the Butte and inquire as to whether its the real deal before I drop a grand or more on a pass and relocate for six months or more. What a fucking toolbag I is dude.
Dex I'm glad you're here. When do we get to see one of those killer TR's where you take pictures of flat groomers with a bunch of dirt patches running down the middle and then the skiing sucks so bad you stop at the basketball hall of fame to fill out the rest of your photo gallery?
While you're at Killington, could someone teach VLAD how to spell "Skiing"?? (and his own name (Vald)
I'll get one up for you soon. Then I'm off to CO to learn how to claim 75' on 20' drops that I backseat off of, like your idol does. Glad you remember the TR, though (I wouldn't be able to remember anything you've ever posted if you paid me to).
i understand what they're saying. i don't know if i would have used the words "diversity," "culture," or "soul" to describe it, but there is a certain unquantifiable quality to EC skiing that the west doesn't have..
and I'd certainly offer up the possibility that quality I speak of is "shit", but damn, we kind of like our shit. (reminds me of the mets, actually.)
but then again, it might not be shit.
i'll have to ski a lot more, east and west, to research this very important issue.
Having the lower section of the skyeship closed on weekdays really sucks.. That always been the easiest way in/out without dealing with the mess on the access road.
It used to be great several years ago when they didn't even sell lift tickets there. I'd always get a nice spot where I could ski right to the car. I had the all-east pass for several years, but I can be certain that there is no kmart in my future for this year.
It will be better without the gape-fest created by the All4One pass.

Oh no Damien, Highwaystar stole your thread. :the_finge
This post made this whole thread worthwhile.
And yes, the East sucks, but I grew up in the Midwest, so its all relative.
EC tree skiing is actually a different sport and pretty challenging at times.
And yes, the beauty of the ASC pass was not having to pay too much for a shitty ski experience that gets you in shape for the real skiing out West.
BVMP...............
that's amazing..
who knew that human quads could handle that much back seat?
Ktown sucks, sometimes it can be convienent but there is better terrain not too far away.
I was born on the EC, love the EC, love the uniqueness of VT, I've had truly epic days on the EC and know that the terrain can be every bit as challenging as the West but I think most of us given the right set of circumstances would be out of here in a second for greener pastures. Generally better snowfall and easier access to gnar terrain do it for me everytime.
Seconded. I love EC trees, they don't get much tighter and nastier. Turning on a dime is mandatory and you can ski in a whiteout/fog out. West skiing is different in it's own sense. I've always said that the shitty ski days on the EC is just training for those handful of powdays in the East and my trips out West.
Now that I'm out here, we'll see how I adjust (I've already been told that moguls suck and nobody skis them here).....

Wow, 3 pages for this useless thread?! How about we just sum it up real quick and be done with it:
Killington sucks, so nobody cares that the new management is making is suck more. Quit bitching about how much crappier its going to be and go to one of the EC mountains that actually have good terrain. I would suggest some better mountains, but if you don't agree with the above statements then you're probably a gaper from New York/ New Jersey and nobody wants gapering up the good EC mountains so shut the fuck up and go wait in the hour long line for the K1.
