Polyass vs main forums in 2025

And I would volunteer to Mod but I am no moderate and people would not like my style.

Dunno is suited for it. He even has the credentials. I am not and I don't.

Honest question to those of you complaining that certain threads in the PR have comments leaning into politics: you voluntarily open and read threads called “Ukraine” or “is the US gonna annex Canada?”- what kind of discussion do you expect to find in these threads? Memes about dead Ukrainians?

Also you seem to be demanding that the mods police things to perfection and that they standby with their finger on the trigger to move the thread into polyass as soon as someone mentions a politicians name. Sounds like a Karen who wants to speak to the manager.

How about instead you police yourself and stop voluntarily visiting threads that are gonna be more political than “what’s on the snackscape?”but still can belong in the PR as long as people behave and as long as mags don’t take the time to open, read, and then post a complaint that they’re butthurt a thread about Israel and Palestine exists and somehow they were forced to visit it and were caught off guard when a political point was made.

Be strong enough to not click. I guarantee you don’t visit every single thread in the padded room - so ask yourself why you wade into these and then complain that you found what you 100% already knew was in there.

Exactly. I dont go into non political threads and go off on politics for obvious reasons. Seems the pa haters have less restraint

It's the worms. No answers to be found there. A guy made disgusting remarks about my wife by name in PA and got banned. But it took some work.

As I recall, (probably faulty) He brought up his fear of being incinerated in a nuclear exchange brought about by US support of Ukraine.
And complained that such danger might interfere with the annual father/daughter dance.
And some folks ridiculed him and then some other heathen made some remarks about said daughter, nothing way out of line but, ya dont bring family into it. Anyway
