Are you this big of a cunt in real life?
Truth hurts, deadco is boring and slow. Zero and I mean absolute zero, replay value.
i see white people
I almost want to go now to make new memories.
I saw " The Dead" at one of the last shows at the SPectrum in 09 with Warren Haynes playing Jerrys part and even with one of my best buddies from Philly I worked with in Aspen and a guest appearance from our man Armchair Extreme ( one of the last times I saw him ) the show was meh.
turned me off to any of the post Jerry Dead "reunion" tours
and dead and co just added 2 more weekends in august.
last show'd; last tour'd; last weekend'd;
until they add more lol
Sick! Another cash grab, cue-up, custies.
Maybe a bit of a cash grab (but no one buys music anymore, can you blame them? )
Maybe a nostalgia Vegas act…
But HOLY SHIT, it’s an AMAZING venue.
Sound is excellent , visuals insane…even the short rib tacos are on fleek.
Wonder if/when they'll start having shows for filmed content like this...

Seems like that could really be a mind-blowing experience.
EDIT: I guess a special film thing is already part of the ongoing schedule when they're not hosting concerts...

It does strike me that extreme sports content could be pretty spectacular in The Sphere (as I understand it, not having been there yet). Like IMAX has been to regular movie theaters. And like true IMAX, would need some special production considerations.

Still, with TGR's snowsports focus, (not to mention The Dead affiliation already well established), seems like a natural. Fire On the Mountain II?
Sphere is played, rectangle is where it’s at

Went to Saturday night's show. Holy shit, what a ride.
The setlist was a total singalong which is absolutely fine by me.

Shakedown, St. Stephen, Stella Blue and Brokedown Palace were so good for me. Mayer absolutely rips on guitar; deserves all the credit he gets. His voice fits so well too in my opinion.
The drums>space with the breeze they create and the haptics booming your seats had me pretty gripped for a moment there. I got completely lost in several of the visuals like the rainbow road to space. Such a nice crowd of people too. Everyone was happy, dancing and being hospitable to each other. All ages too.
To bring home the TRG connection, a clip from Fire on the Mountain with Benchetler ripping down the mountin in the glowing night suit showed up during Althea (I think).
It was so completely different than anything I'd seen/gone to so that alone makes it worth it to me. It will take a pretty special act to get me back.

Good on ya mate.
Haven’t been to a show since Jerry died. Was at the last two at Chicago. What a gift that was in hindsight.
The sphere seems insane.
It’s
Just
So
Phenomenal.
There really aren’t words. I heard a rumor that they are working on a remake of Wizard Of Oz.
I have heard of at least 5 people coming down with the rat flew within a week of visiting the Sphere.

I’ve had so much fun trying to tell people, especially those who aren’t really fans of the music but still super curious about the experience, what it was like. It really was a trip. Find myself remembering different parts and being like “no wait, now that was incredible!”
I would love to see something at the Sphere, but certainly not leftover dead. A Cirque production would find me on a flight.
Saw this today, interesting behind the scenes of how the D&C Sphere experience came together.

Nice, thanks for sharing. Was just talking to a buddy who was at the same show and comparing notes about how the show was a literal trip from open to close, dropping you right back where you took off from, and damn, if that isn't exactly what Mayer and Hart were talking about.
Pretty good article from a crusty Deadhead. I tend to agree with a lot of this, but I was able to enjoy the suspension of disbelief a little more, and just enjoy the thing without over-analyzing. (But I did quite a bit of that as well).
One thing we agree upon, Chompers suck.

Yea, great article. Sums it up well
