Allied bikes and Specialized have dropped his sponsorship.
Still no actions from Red Bull, Rapha, Enve, The Meteor Cafe.
Velo News - Sponsors cut ties with Colin Strickland in wake of Moriah Wilson murder case
In the affidavit, why would Colin admit that he specifically bought the second gun for Katlin? Why not just say I bought two guns etc? Or was the gun somehow formally registered to Catlin? But how could it as she was not legally allowed to have one. Seems like that was a stupid statement on Colin's behalf.
But he also bought the gun for her back in January, not like the day before the murder. That should distance his responsibility a little.
Shut the fuck up Friday!

Is that what you were doing when you were speculating about soap opera-like twists and turns? Was that your way of "wait and see how it plays out" or your way of supporting the folks that lost someone dear to them? Are you bi-polar or do you just say whatever fleeting thought runs through your head without regard to what you may have said previously?
Is there any confirmation anywhere that this women was not able to purchase a weapon? This thread is the only place I’ve seen that, but I admit I haven’t searched it out.
Damn dude. Gotta know when to just walk away.

Updated article from VeloNews: Sponsors cut ties with Colin Strickland in wake of Moriah Wilson murder case
Allied Cycle Works says the pro 'is not expected to represent Allied at future races;' Specialized, Rapha, Enve, and The Meteor have terminated their contracts with him.
Rapha: "In light of recent events we have mutually agreed to end our partnership with Colin Strickland with immediate effect.”
Enve: "After speaking with Colin, we’ve mutually agreed to end the contract and partnership"
Meteor Cafe: "as of today, the Meteor and Colin Strickland have parted ways, and he is no longer affiliated with our brand.
Redbull is the only one left..... VeloNews received an email from a senior communications manager that read, “thank you for reaching out. This is a matter for the authorities,” and the company refused further comment.
She’s innocent! According to Dad. Not my little angel. https://goodwordnews.com/the-father-...on-speaks-out/
That’s why she’s on the run. She flew to NYC apparently.
Unclear why cops weren’t tailing her when they had to let her go on the expired warrant.
Lone Star Fugitive Task Force sounds like a Net Flix series.

I’ve been reading up a little on fugitive strategies and capture rates. Sounds like her chances might be ok if she doesn’t commit anymore crimes and keeps a very low profile. Moving to a big city like NY is probably a good move. Also looks like law enforcement resources are limited for all the fugitives out there.
But in todays connected world it’s gotta hard to drop off the radar vs the 1980’s. Somehow she’s gotta establish new identification and grow out a new life from life. Not that I’m rooting for her!
Why do these seemingly-socially aware big corps., who pump out advertising and publicity portraying an active, healthy, everyone smiling and living their best-life in the outdoors lifestyle brand (ride our bikes, drink our energy drink and you too can live a life like this...), only find out some star athlete is a gigantic douche after said athlete does something so douche-worthy it makes national headlines? Where's the background checks and due diligence?
Seriously. Can't believe these companies aren't pumping their athletes full of sodium pentothal before they sign them. Maybe a little enhanced interrogation to see if there's any possibility they'd get involved in an ill-advised love triangle at some future date.
What do you suggest? Have Columbo follow them around to see if they’re cheating on their pycho girlfriend?

Big corps have figured out how to do background checks of social media, it's not rocket science. It's outsourced because it's such a commodity.
Maybe these contracts are on the low end, and it's not worth it.
