Tech companies have booming satellite offices in Vancouver because it is easier for them to import labor from Asia but pay them much less than in the US (yet the employees have to deal with higher cost of living there).
Vancouver is a beautiful city, but seems like just as big of a cluster fuck as Seattle. I would only move to Canada if I could make good money but live in one of the ski towns.
