Was on a hit trip and they had 3d printed topographical maps of the area. Anyone done this and have a program to convert maps?

I'll have to play with that. A 3D of the local MTB terrain would be cool. I've also seen a simple 3D line of a hiking trip done as a momento. That would be neat for bikepacking trips.
I used that one to print a relief of Kane county for the boy's book report. The interface takes quite a bit to figure out, but works well. Unless your map has a significant change in elevation, you'll want to turn up the Vertical Exaggeration. I'm resin printing, so the resolution is pretty amazing.
I've had pretty good luck finding STL's for most of the shit I've needed to print. A bunch of battery doors for toys, a HRM, etc. Replacement bits for the kid's cheap ass Ikea furniture. RC car parts. Big ass clipper guards.

Saving this here for myself, I found the FB post of the guy that printed one of the Tour Divide route. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...657ecf74eb.jpg
A new clip for the back of my smith helmet would be nice!

It's a taco holder, marital aid, self defense item just in case.
With a Jesus for luck.
But that one sold before I could buy it off craigslist, so I need to 3d print one off the picture.
I mean my friend could buy it. So he needs to print one or whatever.
