So I’m hooked now.
Anyone know what paddle is best for the buck?
I like the feel of honeycomb construction. Read a few reviews already but there’s no consensus. The shit paddles I bought ain’t gettin no satisfaction.
Do you bring a Scotty Cameron to putt-putt?
Get the red one.
My wife and I got this set after several times borrowing the wooden paddles from the Y. I don't know about value but we had a coupon so it was less than $100 for 2 paddles, 2 balls, and a bag so it made it easy to pull the trigger.
Plus, dragons.
Flex-o-Lite paddles FTW!
how quick you can get kicked off this site?

"Can Pickleball Save America?", from The Atlantic.
The sport, beloved for its democratic spirit, could unite the country—if it doesn’t divide itself first.
I am a recent pickleball convert. So easy to kill a few hours at the public courts. It's pretty beginner friendly too, have introduced a wide array of friends to it and most took to it pretty quickly, esp if they had any ping pong, tennis, even volleyball background. Seattle has tons of converted tennis court spots, still haven't seen an actual built-for-pickleball court though.
The missus and I played some “skinny singles” over the weekend. I think it was 5 games in about 1:15. She won 3-2.
damn pickle ballers… defacing public property just ain’t cool, man.

dudes gonna do hard time fer his heinous crime.
fact.
Pickleball is not a crime
I think there is a direct gen-x skater kid to modern day pickleball pipeline. Where is the ghost of Nancy Reagan to warn us!
It's been weird seeing people at the park playing pickleball, or even hearing people talk about it. We had to play it in middle school for PE, I always figured it was just a weird Washington way to use the courts when it was too soggy for tennis. It's been consistently popular at the Senior Center courts for the last 10 years though.
My theory for why we played so much pickleball in Washington PE classes was it somehow counted as a local history tie in since the game was invented in state. Fun fact that has stuck with me for nearly 30 years is Pickleball was named after the family dog Pickle on Mercer (or Vashon/Bainbridge) island.
We played dodge ball. And the boys swam in the pool naked. Pickle Ball sounds like a better choice.
Actually pretty fun. Played doubles on a neighbor’s court and we had fun. Different rules than tennis or ping pong but in a fun way. Had the game won then stepped into the kitchen. Doh

JP Winlook set is nice. $70 for two decent paddles and three balls. And a carry case.
Way better than cheesy crap. And almost as good as the expensive racquets.
Sadly it’s only sold through Bezos evil empire
My serve was dialed in today when I figured how to put enough spin to drop away from my wife’s backhand return. I won 4 games to nil (I’m still behind historically though).
