- If the behavior of the dog is, as some of you claim, the direct result of the owner's actions do you support criminal penalties for a person who's dog has attacked (unprovoked) someone?
- Follow up: Hell, what if it was provoked? What if some snot nosed 12 year old kid was screwing with the dog and the dog attacked? Should the kid simply "have known better", or should it be the responsibility of the owner to raise a dog that can withstand the bullshit behavior of a kid without an aggressive response? (obviously, this is a very context dependant question)
- And finally, why do some of you say that no dog breed is inherently more aggressive than another? We have bred dogs to be natural herders, others to be natural retrievers, others to naturally 'point' when encountering game, etc, etc... Why is the idea that some dogs have been bred for aggressiveness and violence unacceptable?
