Family in Tyler sound pretty grim this morning. Dipped down to 3 degrees. They do have a fireplace so were able to keep the house around 50 but they are def. stressed.

Here in W2 we are finally above freezing with 2ft of snow on the ground. Donkey's are up to their knees in the stuff. So exhausting to do farm chores in this stuff. Hoping for a sssssssssllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooo ooowwwwwwwwwww melt.
49 degrees in my house in Houston this am, day 2 of no power to 60% of Houston. so, apparently Houston cannot handle hurricanes or a 48 hour cold snap. at this point i'm wondering if Houston can handle any extreme weather event.Quote:

Our predicted 8-12 inch snow storm turned to freezing rain after 3.5 inches and now it is warm and shitty, ruining our soft snowpack. For the first time this winter, I barely broke 12" at my stake this morning and it has already settled back down to 11".
