Mounting the plates DIY is really painless- unless you have trouble operating a cordless drill. I've had really good luck with World Cup in Bellevue for repairs/mounts-it's mostly a race place but the techs there are solid. Also been happy with Pro Ski in North Bend who mounted dynawhompers on my W105s with 24hr turn around.

Trying to mount the sollyfits for both 297 and 277, you'll just need to aim for centering at 287 and dealing with 1 boot skiing forward and the other behind center. just make sure there is enough forward and aft adjustment in the binder to make it work.

+1 for Sturtevants. They did my Wailer 112RP mount last month. Dukes into QuivverKillers.

Very happy with the work and overall pre-season tune (season for me is New Zealand so it was more mid season)

Glacier sells glass pipes. That trumps a lot IMO...like all that customer service and ski selection shit.

Huge thanks all. Mofro: I've watched jondrums videos and it does look pretty easy, but I'm being a chickenshit with the 112RPs. Maybe I'll try my rock skis first and see how that goes.

Work is usually top notch and priced well.

If you're talking outside of Seattle or BHam, then the SportsCreel in Spokane is one of the absolute best ski shops I've ever been to.

I've got a beautiful new pair of custom Billy Goats that I am looking to get mounted up. Would like to know your most trusted shop in the Seattle/Bellingham area. No I do not have the tools or the knowledge to do it myself.

If it's a touring mount, take a drive to the North Bend Pro Ski. I'm certain Cripple Creek is fine too but those North Bend guys deserve the love and are a step above.

If it's an alpine mount, the shop staff don't need to be wizards, just not stoned and have a willingness to make it right with the (very rare) screw-up.

I'd avoid any place with a seasonal team (like REI) but I've had good results with Evo and Sturtevants for mounting work. If their shop guy is as knowledgeable as their bootfitter, Alpine Hut would be an option too.

Gerks in Issaquah also do great work.

What binding?

I’ve had good mounts with Gerk’s, EVO, and Pro Ski.

I’m sure other shops have good techs but Pro Ski North Bend is where I would go.

Only issue I've run into with Gerks is their jig repertoire is not super deep. Proski I haven't found a binding they couldn't deal with. I do pick Gerks for the normal stuff though, more convenient and PS can get really backed up in Nov/Dec.

An alpine binding jig mount really isn’t rocket surgery. Any shop will have a 99.5% chance of getting it right. Especially now while they aren’t that busy and you’re probably not in a huge rush to get them back.

Id probably just go to the closest shop out of convenience - but the head shop guy at evo has probably mounted the most ON3Ps of anyone in the area at this point and will know what replacing a custom pair can cost if miss-mounted.

My new most-trusted-shop is now PNW Ski and Suspension Services run by TGR’s very own Gunder here in Bellingham. I can’t speak to his customer service or sobriety but I’m positive that his technical capabilities are top notch.

Welp, that pencils. I remember seeing his garage in the background of a few of the pictures he was using to sell some stuff on here, and people were gushing about his garage/shop setup. Cool to hear he is turning it into real venture.
