Buddy of mine who works for Sky News was on his way to shoot a documentary on ASM ... they found out he was killed when they landed in Kabul. The next day 2 planes flew into the WTC, flown by the people ASM had been fighting against for 10 years.

Cramer's show is funny, entertaining and mildly educational.

Stewart's show is mildly educational...the video clips his staff dig up of politicians saying stupid things are funny and entertaining.

Colbert for the win; I wish he interviewed Cramer.

I just watched the interview and it actually pisses me off; what a pretentious fucking asshat (Stewart).

Whenever Cramer started to discuss the good, proactive things that he was doing, Stewart would interject and say "this isn't just about you"...yet then proceed to personally attack what Cramer did wrong by showing an internet interview from 2006 that no more than a dozen people saw at the time.

Hey Stewart, you were clearly aware of all the bullshit going on when W was around, what did you do to stop it? (Other than your little TV show and selling books to create "awareness", which sure did a lot of good). Cramer and other financial gurus could have screamed to high heaven about what was going on and nothing would have changed (other than them maybe looking for new jobs).

Nice monday morning quarterbacking...perhaps Stewart is just pissed because he threw all of his own money down on Cramer's bad advice.

I think Stewart's point was that Cramer and the rest of CNBC claim the role of expert financial reporters, and then fail in some of their basic responsibilities as journalists.

Stewart's probably sensitive to this kind of thing because he's supposed to satirize the news yet his show is little different to many of the "real news" shows in terms of substance and depth.

...and due to his show's popularity its content gets scrutinized more minutely than Mr. Cramer's.

I think you nicely tied it up.

Cramer discussing the "proactive" things he was doing? When did he start these "proactive" things? November 2008?

My impression is that he was talking about what he is trying to change to try to change his own image which is of the guy full of hot air blowing up the balloon that just popped.
